Vehicle Detail
Yes, that's correct...less than 30k original miles. I have provided a partial pic of the title showing this fact, and a couple of receipts with dates and miles further supporting this. Included are the owner's manual, pre delivery record, and the original warranty card. You don't see that too often. Here are the specs: 302 v8, automatic transmission, air conditioning, power steering, manual disc brakes, AM radio, cloth/vinyl seats. The door tag data is: 4K92F206113 5U 75 54A BU 24F 3 W A This car was sold new at Berge Ford in Mesa, AZ, and has never left the state since. However, this car has been sitting unused since 1994. I purchased it from the original owner as she was far too old to drive it anymore. The car is very original, with only a few wear parts having been replaced. It even has the original cap, rotor, plug wires, battery shield and hold down, etc. The interior is as nice in person as it looks in pics. The dash is crack free, the seats have no tears, burns, or wear spots at all. The carpet is in excellent shape, but has some fading in spots. Door panels and armrests are perfect. The package tray is perfect. The headliner has a couple of very small tears just above the passenger door. The glovebox door has a bit of glue on it from a removed sticker, but the paint is unharmed. The steering wheel is leather wrapped, and I have no idea if that was a factory option or not, but I would bet the wheel is perfect and uncracked underneath. All of the chrome and stainless is in excellent shape. The vinyl top is original and starting to show some cracking by the back window area. There is some surface rust on exposed metal surfaces, and the muffler and resonator have some holes, but the car itself is rust free. That means solid floors, trunk, frame rails, torque boxes, shock towers, rear quarters, rockers, etc. The paint is all original and still sports the original painted pinstripes. There are door dings and small nicks, but there is no repaint or touch ups anywhere. The only real damage is in the Rr quarter. It is not crimped, so it is likely that it could be pushed out from the inside...but i'm not gonna try. The car runs, drives, shifts, steers, and stops. Because it sat for so long, I flushed the brakes, coolant, and changed the oil. Mechanically, the car is not perfect and is gonna need some work to make it roadworthy: It runs like crap, and it is likely a combination of bad fuel, and carb needing rebuild from sitting for so long. The car starts with the key about 1/3 of the time. It is likely the ignition switch, or starter solenoid. If you leave the key 'on' and cross the terminals on the solenoid, it will start. That is as far as I have explored. The tires are old, mismatched, and should be replaced but hold air with no leakage. The A/C does not blow cold, but the compressor comes on when the A/C is activated. Again, it is likely that sitting unused for so long has allowed the freon to leech out. I would not be suprised that if it was evacuated, then recharged, it would work properly. The windshield has a crack on the driver's side down low and does not affect visibility whatsoever. I have more than 50 pics of the car here: http://s254.photobucket.com/albums/hh90/nilvanava/Maverick/ I have tried to be fairly thorough in the description and pics, but there are things I could have forgotten, so ask any and all questions before bidding. Winning bidder shall make a $500 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end with the balance to be paid within 7 days of auction end. I reserve the right to relist if balance is not paid within the time alloted. Shipping is the sole responsibility of the winning bidder, but I will make myself available at all hours for you or a transport company to pick up the car.
