Selling this nice 1972 Mercedes Benz 250 for my friends grandfather. It is finished in papyrus white on congac. The seats are in great shape and the headliner is nice with exception of the driver's side rear which is lightly sagging. A good interior shop can tuck it back in. The sedan sits on new whiteside wall tires. The glass is in great shape. The car has full hubcaps with the spare and tool kit. The car has books and manuals. It is a joy to drive and gets attention everywhere we take it. There is some surface rust under the passenger rear door molding. Not rusted through. The passenger quarter also has a scrape mark with some surface rust on it(see photo). The paint is in good shape for a 39 year old car. Trunk floors are clean as well as the spare well. The miles, according to the grandpa are original to the car. He should know, he had it for a while. the windows all roll up and down with ease. It even has the original Becker Europa AM/FM radio that still works great. Original tool kit and jack still with car. Known problem. Transmission indicator on dash is stuck in P position. It may need a new cable. However, transmission shifts fine and gears up and down with ease. Engine number is 130923-12-016267, delivered new in sunny California on January 29, 1972 in Santa Rosa, California at Torvick Mercedes. License plate frame is still on car.
