Vehicle Detail

Finally selling my 2002 Honda Civic DX 2dr coupe. This car has been my daily driver since I bought it new in the fall of 2001. It certainly has its issues as most cars of its age do. I will disclose any and all problems I am aware of in this listing. The car is being sold "as is". It has 192,000 miles on it (give or take; I'm still driving it). It is due for a timing belt change. Had the first timing belt replaced around 95,000 miles. The exhaust currently has a leak, so it's very loud at the moment. It failed emissions recently, due to an "evap code", which I have yet to fully research. I replaced one spark plug and coil pack about 5 months ago and was told it was fouled due to oil in the overhead cam. I've been driving it since with no problems, just check the oil regularly. Lately the shifter has felt a little stiff going into 3rd and 4th. Not sure what that means. The car still starts, runs and drives like a top. I'm selling it because I bought a new car and don't feel like sinking any money into it. Over the life of the car, I have done regular oil changes, replaced brake pads and rotors about a year ago and replaced the front struts. It was in a couple accidents (one front end collision and once I was rear ended). Everything was fixed, except the back bumper has always been a little loose. I was told it needs new bumper clips, but I never bothered to get any as it didn't seem to matter. I have a big dog who rode around in there for the past 3 or four years. I smoked in the car since it was new. The interior is in fair condition. Nothing major is wrong with it, but it is worn, probably smells a little like smoke and my dog. The rear seat has one spot where the stitching pulled apart, but don't notice it unless there's some weight right near it. I installed an aftermarket CD player, which Circuit City put in for me. They did a bad job and it slips inside the dash all the time. I do have the original radio which pops right in. There are a few dings in the dash and on the outside of the car for that matter. There are a few small rust spots starting in the usual spots (wheel wells, especially) but no rust that's gone all the way through yet. The car has been great to me... never left me stranded. It has dealer installed A/C which blows cold. Everything works. The trunk seems to get a little road dust in it, probably due to the rear end accident. Overall, like I said, the car has its issues and needs some work, but it is a runner. I'll be sad to see it go, but hope someone can use it that will have the time to fix it up a little. I'm happy to answer any questions, take more pics, whatever you need. Like I said, I'm trying to be as open and honest as possible about the car. It has a brand new set of Firestone Winterforce tires on it that rip in the snow. Don't know what else to say other than this car really is a runner and with a few little repairs, I'm sure it'll run for a long time to come. Let me know if you need any additional info. Thanks for looking at my "black beauty" : ) Vehicle also for sale locally, so I reserve the right to pull this listing if it sells. On Feb-06-11 at 07:49:06 PST, seller added the following information: I just wanted to add that the accidents the car were in were pretty minor (no frame damage, just cosmetic). If it weren't for the loud exhaust and the check engine light being on, you wouldn't even know anything else was wrong with it. I'm just trying to be as honest as I can about the mechanical issues it has. I had a question from someone asking if it was gone through, if I thought it would run for another 100,000. Of course I can't say that it will or it won't, but if someone's willing to fix the few problems it has, I can't imagine that it wouldn't.
