Vehicle Detail
Thank you for viewing my 1985 Toyota FJ60 Land Cruiser. If you are looking at this rig I am sure you know the basics of this model Land Cruiser. I am the the second owner of this CA beauty and the owner before me deserves alot of credit for keeping it so well. This FJ has been in Southern California for its first 22 years, and extremely well kept in Maryland the last 4. I have looked for years for a FJ60 in this shape before purchasing this one (tight, straight, accident free). I feel it is one of the cleanest, unmolested Land Cruisers you will find in the Country, and probably the finest on the East Coast. Just a brief history, the body and interior is excellent, extremely solid. No rips, tears, odors, completely smoke and animal free. The motor had a complete overhaul and rebuild to factory specs at 232,000 miles leaving all smog components intact, (This included a three year 100,000 mile warranty at the time of purchase, The body has 244,000 miles and the power train has 12,000) This also included a new water pump, fuel pump, alternator, all new Toyota belts, Excide multi cell battery, K&N air filter, rebuilt factory carburetor, Toyota power steering pump, timing chain, radiator, breaks, clutch, slave cylinder, repacked front end, front end alignment, all new trans fluid, new front and rear diff. fluid. After a 500 mile break in, I have been running Mobil one full Synthetic 5W30 Advanced completely trouble free. I average about 18 miles a gallon on highway use, lower around town. This rig had averaged about 10K a year since it was new and it shows. It has had a great life so far, never abused in anyway and all systems work properly except the A/C which could use a recharge (Freon). In addition, I have added Round Eyes night vision head lamps, Hella Black Magic spot lights,(professionally installed on the front bumper), a complete high powered Kenwood sound system with three way Polk Audio speakers, a FJ62 Steering wheel (I still have the original), Hella Super Tone horns, new sun visors, brand new 31x10.5 Michelin AT2's all the way around, all weather floor and trunk mats, complete window tint, Old Man Emu Nitro shocks, Toyota Aussie style mirrors, all new Toyota seals and gaskets, (This rig has no leaks) Zeibart under coating, new wind shield, and new side markers, just to name a few. Most parts came from Specter Off Road, Cool Cruisers, or Cruiser Parts.net. Just to confirm, this was not a swap rebuild, all numbers match, all original equipment. It had some sun fade when I purchased it with a incomplete paint work, so I had it completely repainted to the factory color and a few parking lot dings pulled (No Body Work is clearly written on the receipt). She idles at 650 RPM's and cruises down the highway straight and squeak free in fourth gear at 2600 RPM's at approximately 65 MPH. I run her to work a few times a week (100 mile round trip) weather permitting. Please note: this is a 1985 FJ60, round head lights, crank up windows, hand choke, carburetor, 4.2 inline 6, four speed manual, 26 years old but only shows wear of a well kept vehicle about one year old in my opinion. During the rebuild process I was able to find on the original build sheet that this FJ was ordered with the Extreme Weather Package which consisted of larger belts, carb and trans coolers and was originally to be sold in Australia. I am very meticulous and I hope the pictures speak for themselves, if you have any questions please call 410-278-6719. I have pointed out a small rock chip, a small paint peel spot on the roof rain gutter underside and 3/4 crack in the drivers side dash pad between the windshield and the dash. Very small and extremly hard to see, but I just want to be crystal clear in my listing so there are no surprises. I have over 20K invested and have set the reserve much lower. I reserve the right to end the auction early due to the fact it is also for sale locally. You can view or test drive this rig by appointment only, and I may be able to help out with shipping within reason. Again, serious bidders only, if you do not have a 100% feedback score do not bid. This sale will also include all reciepts and paper work, some spare parts and new set of Camo Specter off road front seat and headrest covers. A $500.00 non-refundable deposite will be required with in 24 hours of the winning bid. The remainder will be paid with in 7 days. This rig is being sold "As is" with no warranty.
