Vehicle Detail

Over 100 ebayer's have my old Buick on their watched list. There's only 2 days left on the auction, if she does not sell I'll spray her down with WD40 and put her back in the barn as she's not eating anything. I won't waste another listing fee, maybe 10 or 20 years down the road my estate will sell her for big bucks. I'm not interested in giving her away, thanks for looking. I've had a couple of ebayer's question my honesty due to a negative left by a buyer back in 2009. He bought a Toro Spray rig that sold new for over $12000. for under $2400. Two months later he called to say that the carburetor needed rebuilding. He tried to extort $200. from me by threatening me with negative feedback. eBay has failed to remove the negative because all they want is the selling and listing fees, they could care less who's right or wrong. Please review all my feedback, I won't knowingly cheat anyone. This old Buick is what it is, where it is, and needs to be restored. If you have a bass or pontoon boat you think I'd be interested contact me through ebay, I had to remove my email as scam artists targeted me. Please read the entire auction, I've disclosed everything I know about this hard to find old car. I will gladly answer any question. Pictures look better than car does, it is a project vehicle. Miles are not to be relied upon as I have no way of knowing what they really are. Selling at NO RESERVE, as is where is with no guarantees. Not many of these Super Rivieras left in the world. 1956 Buick Super Riviera, Original Nailhead 322 engine with factory 4 barrel carb, and the Dynaflow automatic transmission, factory POWER STEERING! Body is pretty solid for a 55 year old car!!!, It has been sitting at least 14 years, everything correct under the hood including factory windshield washer bottle! All chrome accounted for, needs restored or would make an awesome parts car. Padded dash is in really nice condition, correct clock, radio, heater and vent controls, ignition switch, cigar lighter, glove box with insert, wiper and headlamp switch. Steering wheel needs restoring but horn ring unbroken. The seats are amazing, they are in very good condition for a 1956 model, cleaned up nicely and the arm rest in rear seat works great. The door are panels rough, flat glass in doors need replacing, curved windshield and back glass good. Floors seem solid, there is some repairs needed in pans in flat spots under the carpet, no repairs needed in upper firewall or tunnel and body mounts look solid. The rockers not totally rusted out like majority of these cars, trunk pan solid and the apron between the rear bumper and trunk is perfect! There is some repairable rust in the dog legs in front of rear tires, pictures show that it does not go into the door jambs, rockers have a few small holes that will fix easily, repairs to lower rear quarters, minor rust on sides of back glass, front fenders and hood solid as a rock and it alone is worth what I'm asking for the entire car! Frame is in good condition, no rustout, everything there including muffler and tailpipe. See pictures, I'm wanting you to know exactly what you're getting, ask questions if you have any. I'm 99% certain that it has the factory paint, the firewall paint matches under the hood and in the trunk/doors. I have not tried to start, it does not run but I'm pretty sure with some effort it would run again, it's been my experience that you'll need to soak the cylinders with Marvel Mystery oil before trying. Tires all holding air, rolls easily. I have the original owners manual, title and key. Trunk is solid, has 2 factory hubcaps with red jewel emblems. I had planned on doing a frame/engine swap on this sweet old Buick as I have a 1995 Buick Roadmaster with an excellent running LT 1 V8 that the frame is just 11" short of fitting. Would be an awesome cruiser when finished, Yes this is a PROJECT VEHICLE, please do not bid if you are not certain that you want it, no refunds, you bid it's yours, need more pictures or information ask, I'll get them to you. Yes, there's lots of work that will need to be done in order to make a nice ride but check out the pics of my 48' Plymouth, this rare Buick Riviera could look as good as or better than my car. My 48 Plymouth is NOT FOR SALE. On Feb-10-11 at 16:19:03 PST, seller added the following information: Okay folks it's selling for certain! As of tonight 114 people have my car on their watched list, I hope the winner will send me some pics when they get her back to her original glory. Good luck to all that have considered her and thanks for the interest. Wish I was 20 years younger, it would not be here on eBay!
