Sharp-looking silver 2003 Liberty Renegade V6 4x4 with 98,490 miles, original owner (I had purchased after the lease on it expired). Option package includes leather seats (power adjustable for driver & passenger), power tilt-and-slide sunroof, antilock brakes, side curtain airbags, 6-disc CD changer & 6-speaker premium audio with steering wheel-mounted controls. These are in addition to the Renegade trim's standard features: roof-mounted light bar, fog lights, underbody shielding, roof basket (removed by me some time ago, see the separate picture with its attachment brackets) and deep-tinted rear glass. "Check engine" light is steady "ON." The Jeep dealer performed diagnostics in December and stated there is weak compression in engine cylinders #5 and #6. The spark plugs, coil pack and fuel injectors checked out O.K. The vehicle starts and still runs. Also there is a code for the torque converter clutch assembly being out of range. After performing electrical and pressure tests, the dealer stated the transmission would have to come out to repair. I did not go forward with any repair after this diagnosis, but garaged and started the car every week since. Some minor scratches on doors and left rear fender. Rust spots developing on the rear of the removeable tubular side steps. The vehicle has not been in an accident or driven off-road. This trim line makes the Jeep have a bold, solid appearance and is great for active sport use. This Jeep needs some TLC and it is repairable. It just passed the NJ DMV inspection in December before the light came on. New Interstate battery, the oil was changed at 98,000 miles, new brake pads were installed at 90,000 miles, highly-rated Michelin Latitude Tour tires put on at 84,000 miles.
