Vehicle Detail

This is a well worn but very well maintained 2002 Ford Taurus. Comes with NYS Inspection good through Jan 2012 No leaks or check engine lights. Never been in an accident. All four tires have plenty of tread left. Engine has been "babied" with synthetic oil changes every 3K miles. It runs and shifts showroom smooth. The front end has been entirely replaced, and this thing drives like its ready to be entered in a road rally. Tight, no shakes or rattles. She's primed and ready for the next 100K miles. Selling b/c I need a bigger car or a truck. New: Suspension front and rear (2009). Front KB Struts, rear Monroe. Rides and handles better than showroom! Front Brakes - very good - new rotors, brakes 3K miles ago. Rear brakes - replaced shoes/cut drums about 7K mi ago, just passed inspect. Stabilizer linkage, both sides(2010). Moog lower ball joints both sides(2009). Moog tie rod ends, both sides(2010). HSO2 sensors - one of the main "check engine" light causes - these were replaced in Dec 2010. Idle Air Intake control valve. Serp belt and tensioner 2010 (no annoying squeal - engine runs showroom quiet) Heater core replaced in 2006. Tranny shifts smooooth - no problems whatseover - fluid swapped 20K ago, fluid still ruby red. New Radiator in 2008. As I indicated she is "well worn"... The interior is clean and well kept. However, the drivers seat is getting a little worn out (not torn, just worn). Dash and console are fine, however there is some staining (coffee) on the front carpet. The valve cover gaskets on these are supposed to be permanent - on this vehicle they "perspire" just a little - upon getting up to temp in the morning, sometimes their is a faint odor of the tiny bit of oil that may have seeped onto the block - when this occurs it dissipates within seconds. It is hardly noticeable and I have never had to top off the oil due to this. Comes with jack and donut, both fine. As you can see in the pics, there is a tear in the front bumper (I did not see a metal parking lot stanchion because it was only about 24" high) and created that tear. The psgr rear wheel well shows a little rust, and the driver rear wheel well is beginning to do the same. There are "scuff marks" on the drivers side and the fender (tough to see in the pics) where one of my fellow NY drivers misjudged lane width and left me with the scuff marks. Come by any time for a test drive. Please contact with any questions. Thanks and happy bidding, Eric *Anyone with any intention of scamming (overpayment check - that one's getting old) or not paying, please just move on to the next listing. On Feb-01-11 at 13:19:25 PST, seller added the following information: Note about the "taxi use" appearing on the vehicle report. Vehicle has zero (0) miles on it as a taxi (I've used it as a health supply sales rep in NY for the time I've had it, that's why it needed to be so well maintainted). On/about Jan 15, 2011, it was registered as a "black car" b/c I am starting an airport limousine service and one of the requirments to get the permit is to have a vehicle. The limousine service is not active yet, and the reason for the sale is that I need either a town car or an suv.
