Selling this nice 1967 Mercedes Benz 200D, Fintail. This fresh barn find has been with the second owner for the past 23 years. It is reported to be a two owner car. Purchased new in California and stayed here since 1967 . It has been lovingly owned by only two owners. The body is in great shape for a Mercedes of this vintage. The motor start effortlessly and drives wonderfully. My son's have affectionately named her "Phineas" in honor of her beautiful fins. It has a complete set of owner's manuals and the even a shop manual for the do-it-yourself owner. Purchased from the second owner's estate. Paint shines and there is NO RUST in the usual turnk wells. The left front fender is faded. May have been repainted at one time. Other than that, the rest of the paint seems original. It is a joy to drive and commands attention everywhere we take her. It always seems that someone down the road has had an old Mercedes at one time or another. Ol' Phineas would be perfect also for a bio-diesel conversion should the new owner decide on this route. There is even an extra tank already installed in the trunk. Export okay back to Europe if the winning bidder should desire to take ol' Phineas home. Back in the day, diesel was not very prevailant so the first owner installed an extra tank so that he could travel distances. With that in mind, someone could use the extra tank for a biodeisel conversion. All the plumbing is already in place. Also, this is a complete running California car. So for all of the questions about selling parts off this car, the answer is NO. You win the bid, you do whatever you want with the car. I will not sell it off in pieces. It is too nice for that.
