Vehicle Detail

hi, im selling my 69 firebird, this would be a very neat car when restored due to some of the options so check them out. i have only had this car a few months i got it on a trade. In my opinion it would be a fairly simple restoration but i simply do not have the time or place to do it. same old story too many projects yada yada yada. anyhow, i will first describe what i have to go with the car and how the car was originally optioned. The car came from new york, i have the ny registration (which acts as a title in ny) and a new york dtf-802 form both signed by the previous owner ready for transfer. i also got a copy of the original build sheet of the car which describes all the options. car was originally a 350 engine with automatic transmission. 2 bbl carb. (didnt check to see if the drivetrain is numbers matching) the options are as listed: power antennae, rear window defroster, console, power steering, safety glass, restraints, lamp/luggage, radio/stereo, remote mirror, electric clock, power disc brakes, power windows, air conditioning, underhood lamp. car was originally sold in Bay Shore NY. in november of 1968. car was originally verdero green with gold interior. this information is directly off of the build sheet copy. most of these options are still together on the car, the antennae motor is still there, it looks like the power windows are there, clock, airconditioning is in the trunk. most of the parts for these options can be attained new with no problem. over the years the car has been played with, it looks like it was to be a drag car at one time but never finished. it runs and drives, the motor and transmission were supposedly rebuilt. has a single plane intake, headers, possibly a solid cam, dp holly carb. motor sounds strong and has great oil pressure but i would recomend a freshening due to sitting. the wheelwells are removed. the car stops fine the power brakes work. It should have basic planel replacement. i have brand new quarter skins for both sides to go with the car. if i were to restore the car it would get fenders, decklid, hood, tailpanels, gas tank. the doors are in decent shape and salvagable. the floors are nice, trunk is good might have some pinholes but not rotted through. i tried to get good pictures of the rust on the car. rockers are nice. firewall is fine. interior needs to be redone as well as all weatherstripping/seals. the rear window and back windows have some etching done maybe they can be polished out by a glass place or replaced. the metal that holds the rear window in has some rust holes but not bad, see pictures. the front seats are not original but the correct ones are common for sale on ebay or craigslist. i also have new carpet to go with it. someone asked before about rust under the dash, shock towers, and subframe and i checked these areas are all solid. i described this vehicle to the best of my knowledge. im sure i may forget somthing so feel free to ask questions and i highly recomend seeing the car in person before bidding, or email me your number i can call you. i can take more pictures upon request. the vehicle must be towed. i can help assist if it is to be shipped. thank you and happy bidding. On Nov-27-10 at 11:36:41 PST, seller added the following information:this is my fault for not checking before i listed. someone asked me the engine code and i was just going by what the previous owner told me. i believed it was a 350 with a 350 turbo trans. the code is a "YS" and the block number is 9786133. its a 400 out of a 67 gto-single 4 barrel rated at 335 horsepower. if it doesnt sell for my reserve i will relist it with this information in the title. in my opinion this motor should be taken out and sold to a numbers matching 1967 gto restoration and replaced with a era correct 350. whether this makes the value of purchasing this car a little higher that is for you to decide. thanks
