Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a beautiful, rare Chrysler 300 J. It is documented that only 400 hardtops were built - no convertibles. As of date of publication of the Chrysler 300 Club newsletter Vol. 6 No.2 in 1975 they only knew of a couple dozen remain in existance. We have quite a bit of info and documentation on this car. It is Oyster white, code 8293 with a red leather interior. We feel this car has been repainted, but very nicely done. This car has a 413 cid, 390 hp engine that features the very desirable "Cross Ram" induction with 2 - 4 barrel carbs. Automatic transmission w/ Sure Grip rear end. Tinted glass. This car has it all. The back seat, as well as the trunk liner, was pulled up to check the condition. Both still are painted and in a very good condition. The only thing that this car may need is a tune up and mufflers. Other than that it is ready to go. With that said, we do not recommend it be driven to far without a mechanic checking it over. As I said it sat on display. I can't guarentee how good the belt, hoses, wheel cylinder, ect are. It is 48 years old. We cannot say if these are actual miles (even though it appears they are) so we must sell as mileage in excess of mechanical limits. This car was appraised by two different appraisers as a 2+, outstanding vehicle. We have owned this car since, its donation to our 501(c)3 vehicle museum in, 2005. Up until 2009, this car was on daily display. We rotate our displays and that is the only reason we are offering it for sale. NATMUS ( National Automotive and Truck Museum of the U.S.) is a National Historic Landmark and we will not sell anything that the customer is not fully informed on. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. We will answer a best as possible.
