Up for sale is our 2003 Chevrolet 15 passenger van. This is a nice van and is ready to go. Clear title at the house and ready to drive across country today. I bought this van less than a year ago. Since then I have put new tires on it, alignment, inspection, new speakers, new headlights, front brakes, and a complete fluid change. Money has gotten rather tight for us and something has to go. Unfortunately, the van made the short list. This is not a very common vehicle and I had a tough time finding it. I ended up traveling 6+ hours to the western side of Charlotte, NC to buy it. I wanted an extended wheelbase, LS trim van with 6.0L V8 (Phenomenal engine that only comes in 2003 and newer vans), and as you will see, there are not a lot out there. Vehicle Condition: The van is in really good shape for a 2003 model. The body and paint are in good shape with the exception of the dent/scrape behind the driver's door. (I have taken a close up picture of that area.) The van has always been a southern vehicle. It's never seen the snow or salt commonly found up north. The 6.0L V8 starts right up and runs like a champ. The transmission shifts smoothly like it's supposed to and there is no drive line noise whatsoever. The suspension and undercarriage look really good. I don't know if the shocks have been recently replaced or not, but they work like new. Exhaust is leak free and not rusted out at all. The tires are pretty much brand new (less than 500 miles) and I had an alignment done on the van right after they were installed. They should last quite a while. The interior is not perfect, but it's not bad either. The seats are not torn or worn too bad, but could definitely use a good steam cleaning. All the electronics work properly. The AC blow cold and the heat works great. The front/rear dual zone HVAC system is really nice and an absolute requirement in a van with this much interior space. The rearmost seat is not installed in the van in the pictures below, but I did take a picture of it in my garage. There is nothing wrong with it, and it can be reinstalled in minutes. I pulled it out for additional storage and haven't put it back in yet. Vehicle History: (To the best of my knowledge) I have owned this van for a little over 6 months now. I bought it to be used as a dedicated tow vehicle for my car trailer (4000lb total weight). Unfortunately, I have not been able to use the van as much as I would have liked. I have put a whopping 2000 miles on the van since I bought it. I will say that it is a great tow vehicle. The long wheel base provides a very stable ride while towing and the power / torque of the 6.0L V8 makes it hard to realize there is a trailer back there. I bought the van from a gentleman in North Carolina that used the van to haul a team of workers from the western side of the state to job sites up and down the east coast. Needless to say, a good majority of the miles on the van are highway miles. Price: I have set a conservative reserve price that will not be disclosed. My BIN price is an absolute steal and done so to warrant a quick sale. It's $500 less than what I paid for the van 6 months ago, and since then I've spent an additional $1200 in tires and maintenance. Payment: I am requiring a $100 non-refundable deposit from the winning bidder. This will cover my expenses if you don't show and I have to re-list. Balance should be paid in cash or certified bank/loan check. I am able to accept a credit card payment, but the terms will have to be negotiated. Please don't make any assumptions.
