Vehicle Detail
What we have here is my 2001 GL1800 Goldwing. I am the second owner of this. The first owner was the president of his local chapter of the GWRRA and rode it 56,000 miles in less than 4 years. I have had it for almost 6 years and have ridden it about 12,000 miles. I ran into the original owner at our local GWRRA meeting and talked to him about the bike. He had nothing but good things to say about the bike. Over the last year of so, both mine, and my wifes health has made it more difficult to take long rides. Since that is the real purpose for this kind of bike, I’ve decided to sell it so someone else can enjoy it. It has been tastefully accessorized. Most of the accessories that were added to the bike were added by the original owner. They include the factory CB radio, Factory CD changer in the trunk (which I had never had any problem with), the kuryakyn “Iso” grips, foot pegs and mufflers. Also added were painted belly pans, chrome side and front covers, driving lights, LED lighted trim for the luggage, a volt gage, a gear indicator and many more items than I could remember to list. Since I’ve owned it, I’ve added the “Iso” highway pegs and passenger “transformer” pegs, backrest, XM radio, GPS and other things I can’t recall right now. In the last 500 miles, I have replaced the battery with a gell battery and installed a new set of Dunlop Elite3 tires. Also with the bike I will include the owners manual, shop manual, battery tender and 2 intercom units that I was given by a friend that sold his 1500, these are untried, as they won’t fit our smaller helmets. The bike has 68083 miles on it, but has always been serviced by the local dealer. It needs nothing to be ridden anywhere and has always been reliable. The only thing that it will eventually need is new fork seals. They are not really bad, but will need to be replaced before to long. Absolutely everything on the bike works as new and could be ridden anywhere. I have a clear title and it’s ready to go.
