BMW R-Series Gas Tank Chrome fits for:/5 models 1969 - 1973R 50/5R 60/5, sieheR 75/5/6 models 1973 - 1976 R 60/6R 75/6R 90/6, sieheR 90 S /7 models 1976 - 1985R 60/7R 75/7R 80/7R 100/7R 100, R 100 TR 100 S, R 100 CSR 100 RSR 100 RT Large vintage gas tank- original BMW- in good Condition / chrome ok -some irregularities do exist but can only be seen if light is reflecting just right... This is a used gas tank from my own R 75/5 which has been sold some time ago. It has been stored safe and warm for about two decades in the house and therefore is still in good condition. It is a 24l = 6,34 gal large gas tank... for all R /5 and R /6 Models from BMW... it is not the so called -toaster-tank- ,,, It fits all BMW R /5 and R /6 Boxer Models and in combination with the R /6 seat all R /7 Models as well.There are no injuries on the surface of the tank. The tank is without a toolbox. It is in a good and solid condition; chrome is good but not perfect. No visible rust on the outside - little surface rust from the bottom outside. No rubber knee protection pads , no fuel petcocks , no gas cap and no mounting material included. It would be safe to say that the tank should be refurbished before putting it to use. The inside of the tank does not appear to have corrosion from just looking in the fuel filler hole, but it is impossible to know what is in the bottom of the tank without getting it flushed out. It does not smell like bad fuel and nothing came out when I turned it upside down. The BMW emblems are attached to the tank and in good condition. Capacity : 24 liter = 6,34 gallons , BMW - original part number is : 16 11 1 233 862 / 16111233862 Please do check before bidding, if this tank really fits with your bike – it should fit with all bikes from the list above ! The tank probably will not necessarily need restoration - but in order to avoid any trouble... it is sold in condition "to restore" .
