UP FOR SALE IS MY 1969 CHEVY EL CAMINO. MILAGE EXCEEDS MECHANICAL LIMITS. SPEEDOMETER HAS BEEN RELACED. THIS IS NOT AN "SS" OR AIR CONDITIONED CAR. I AM THE 3RD OWNER. I HAVE OWNED THE CAR 10 YEARS. 2ND OWNER PURCHASED IN 1970. THIS CAR WAS BUILT IN FREEMONT CALIFORNIA PLANT. THIS CAR HAS SPENT ITS LIFE IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA (NAPA VALLEY), TILL I BROUGHT IT TO WASHINGTON IN 2004. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN KEPT INSIDE. POWER STEERING , POWER DISC BRAKES. COLUMN SHIFTED TH350. CLEAR TITLE AND HAS WASHINGTON COLLECTOR PLATES. DRIVES NICE NO RATTLES OR SQUEAKS. LESS THAN 1,000 MILES HAVE BEEN PUT ON CAR SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT. CAR WAS ORIGINALLY SILVER METALLIC WITH BLACK INTERIOR. IT WAS BLUE METALLIC WHEN I BOUGHT IT. I HAD IT REPAINTED IN 2003. IT WAS NOT TAKEN DOWN TO BARE METAL. SHEET METAL IS ORIGINAL. I INSTALLED A DYNACORN REPRODUCTION SS HOOD. LOWER FENDERS HAD PATCH PANELS INSTALLED BOTH SIDES. PATCH PANEL IN PASSENGER REAR BEHIND WHEEL OPENING BELOW BOTTOM BODY LINE. DOOR JAMBS WERE RESPRAYED AS WAS UNDER HOOD. PAINT IS SINGLE STAGE. LOOKS NICE . BUT THERE ARE SOME MINOR CHIPS AND MINOR WAVES IN BODY. SMALL RUN ON BOTTOM EDGE OF HEADER PANEL. THIS CAR SHOWS NO EVIDENCE OF COLLISION. PAINT HAS BUBBLING IN DRIVER LOWER QUARTER AND NEAR WHEEL LIP EDGE. NEEDS BED TRIM BEHIND REAR WINDOW TO BE PULLED OFF AND HAVE SEALANT PUT AROUND MOUNTING STUDS AS I FORGOT TOO. ( SMALL WATER LEAK) LIGHT SRAYIN BEDLINER TINTED CLOSE TO BODY COLOR. CAR HAD NO RUST IN FLOOR OR REAR WINDOW. I BOUGHT IT WITH A GEM TOP THAT HAD BEEN ON CAR SINCE THE 70'S WHICH PRESERVED THE BED AND REAR WINDOW! DRIVETRAIN- CAR WAS ORIGIONALLY A 307 CAR. I DON'T HAVE THE ORIGINAL MOTOR . IT NOW HAS A REBUILT LARGE JOURNAL 327 WITH STAGE 2 RV CAM. 2 BOLT MAIN. APPROX 20K MILES ON SHORT BLOCK. THE CYLINDER HEADS ARE 882'S WITH 1.94X1.5 VALVES , FACTORY HARDENED SEATS WITH LESS THAN 1K MILES. (MOTOR HAD HEADS WITH NO ACCESSORY HOLES ON MOTOR WHEN IT WAS IN MY PICKUP) REBUILT CORRECT STYLE QUADRAJET CARB WITH DIVORCED CHOKE. GM CAST IRON INTAKE. ORIGINAL POINTS DISTRIBUTOR. ENGINE COMPARTMENT COMPLETLY STOCK EXCEPT FOR HI TORQUE HITACHI STYLE STARTER AND HEADERS. I HAVE THE EXHAUST MANIFODS THAT WILL GO WITH CAR SO YOU CAN TAKE BACK TO STOCK SETUP. ONE IS ORIGINAL 69 DATE CODED THE OTHER IS MATCHING BUT WAS FROM A LATER YEAR. BOTH WITH NO SMOG PUMP HOLES. FAN SHROUD IS FROM A 1972 CHEVELLE. TH350 TRANSMISSION IS BELIEVED TO BE ORIGINAL AS IT HAS 69 DATE CODE ACCORDING TO TRANS REBUILDING SHOP. I JUST HAD IT REBUILT LAST YEAR INCLUDING NEW CONVERTER. IT WAS WORKING FINE BUT SEALS WERE DRY AND LEAKING WHEN SITTING FOR A LONG TIME. REAREND IS NON-POSI 12 BOLT BELIEVED TO BE ORIGINAL AS WELL. MOST LIKELY A 2.73 OR 3.08. ONLY THING I HAVE DONE IS REPLACE FLUID AND TOOK TO A SHOP TO HAVE PINION SEAL REPLACED DUE TO MINOR LEAK. CAR DOES NOT HAVE ANY FLUID LEAKS. COMPLETELY NEW DUAL FLOWMASTER EXHAUST EXITING BEHIND REAR TIRES. INTERIOR- PICTURES MAKE INTERIOR LOOK FADED BUT THAT IS JUST MY CAMERA!!! I HAVE INSTALLED A REPRODUCTION DASH THAT FITS REAL GOOD AND LOOKS CORRECT. I REMOVED THE CLOCK DELETE TO INSTALL A TACH CONVERSION. IT IS MADE TO MATCH THE FACTORY GAUGES AND A CLOCK DELETE CAN BE PUT BACK. FACTORY AM RADIO WORKS GREAT. NEEDS NEW GLOVE BOX LINER. THERE ARE NO HOLES IN DASH BEZEL. I INSTALLED A OIL AND WATER GAUGE BELOW. REAR VIEW MIRROR GLASS IS DISCOLORED NEAR BOTTOM. THERE IS NO SPARE TIRE OR JACK IN CAR. ORIGINAL HEAD LINER AND VISORS. ( SEAM ON EDGE OF DRIVERS VISOR NEEDS TO BE RESTICHED) SEAT HAS BEEN REUPHOLSTERED. NEW CARPET (IN 2003) , DOOR PANELS, ARM REST PADS. HAS ALL FACTORY SEAT BELTS , BUT BELTS ARE STARTING TO FADE. DASH PAD HAS A FEW CRACKS IN IT BUT NOT BAD ENOUGH TO REPLACE. HAS A GRANT STEERING WHEEL WITH WORKING HORN. NEW WEATHERSTRIPPING AROUND DOORS, WING WINDOWS, WINDOW FUZZIES. EXTERIOR- ALL TRIM / EMBLEMS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE. THE FOLLOWING IS REPRO-GRILL AND TRIM ON IT ( I BOUGHT 3 DIFFERENT ONES UNTIL I FOUND ONE THAT FIT AND LOOKED GOOD) , BED SURROUND, EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES, REAR BUMPER, CHROME HOOD INSERTS, TAILGATE EMBLEM AND GRILL EMBLEM . FRONT BUMPER HAS A FEW SMALL MINOR DINGS/ DIMPLES IN IT. BRAKES/SUSPENSION- I INSTALLED 4 NEW SHOCKS AND REAR LOWERING SPRINGS TO GIVE THE CAR A LEVEL STANCE. REAR BRAKES HAVE BEEN DONE AS WELL AS FRONT DISC BRAKES. . I HAD ALL NEW BUSHINGS INSTALLED IN CONTROL ARMS. NEW DRAG LINK, IDLER ARM, TIE RODS, ADJUSTERS AND BALL JOINTS. REBUILT CALIPERS, NEW BRAKE HOSES AND REMANUFACTURED POWER BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER COMBO. WHEELS ARE 15 X 7 RALLEY WITH 235 60-15 BFG T/A'S IN FRONT AND 255-60-15 REAR BF GOODRICH RADIAL T/A. TIRES. LESS THAN 100O MILES ON TIRES. CENTER CAPS ARE AFTERMARKET REPRODUCTION OF 1967 FLAT CAPS. TRIM RINGS ARE ORIGINAL GM. THIS IS BEING SOLD AS IS WITH NO WARRANTY.... THERE IS SOME SMALL BUBBLES IN PAINT ON RIGHT REAR WHEEL OPENING LIP EDGE. ALSO A SMUDGE MARK ON DRIVERS SIDE ABOVE WHEEL OPENING. PAINT IS NOT CHIPPED AND PANEL IS NOT DENTED. MAY BE ABLE TO BUFF OUT MARK. MARK IS ABOUT 1" IN SIZE. WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR WAS FOUND TO OPERATE SLOWLY AND NOT WORK VERY WELL. I REPLACED IT WITH A REBUILT GM MOTOR AND NOW WIPERS ARE WORKING CORRECTLY AND THE SQUIRTERS TOO!!!
