Up for bids is a 1986 Chevrolet Chevette, CS model, 4-S. The mileage is showing 40991 and the 83 year old lady who owned it says its correct, the vehicle report from ebay should verify this. The very nice 83 year old lady only drove this car once in a awhile to go to the store about a mile or so away so im pretty sure the miles are correct. She was the second owner according to her. The car quit running on her a few weeks ago and a shade tree mechanic suckered her into letting him work on it for her. He for some reason pulled the head off of it and couldnt figure out what was wrong so he brought it back and rolled it off in her yard and hit her with a big bill for nothing. Not a good way to do a 83 year old lady. So, the engine is apart for whatever reason. All the parts are in the back so it can be put together. The body on this car is pretty good. The top and hood are fading a little, the passenger side front door has some rust along the outside bottom and the rocker panel has a little on it, nothing major. The passenger side has a narrow scratch on it from where she got against a tree limb, not dented, just scratched, think I have a pic of it. The underneath is showing some rust along the front floors but there still solid. The rear tires are real good and the fronts are fair. All the wheels have the center caps on them. The front panel under the bumper is torn a little but repairable. The drivers seat is showing some wear but the passenger and rear seats are real nice. Carpet and door panels are good, just need a little cleaning. Headliner is coming down, age causes this, not torn, just hanging loose. All glass is good and the state inspection is good till March of this year I think. The car is an automatic with AC and a am-fm-radio. This is a nice car for the year and with just a little attention it would be a great work car or a good vehicle for a college student.
