Vehicle Detail
Hi everyone. U watching a 27 years old beauty! Read the bike history.... I am a 4th. owner, and i know the bike history. This monster never been raced, never been wrecked! Never was bored, (still 89.00mm) and i think this is the most important thing! More than 10 years ago the second owner changed the factory piston, for a Wiseco,(+Wiseco wirst pin bearing) and the rod changed for a HotRod. This owner very take cared of the bike, he used around a monthly or less for few hours. The 3td. owner was a little bit lazy and dumb guy, he didn`t used any cover,so that`s why i had to changed the fenders, side plastics, and seat cover. The funny thing with the previous owner, just purchased the bike, but not even can start it!!! Just kick it kick it and after 15-20 minutes just gived up! :) That was my naighbor. When the first owner sold the bike, i saw a few pictures about the CR, That time the bike was 7 years old,and looked like just a brand new! So when i just got the bike, and after when I learned how can I start this animal, used for a few hours. (around 3 h) And then purchased a factory service book what is full with measures, and ideas, and started stripped down the bike. Checked everything. -Front forks, was excellent, but i changed the seals, and bushings, and also oil... The shock adjuster on the fork bottom was Not even touched!!!Never! The springs free lenght still on size. The fork boots are same year like the bike!!! -Rear shock was repaired re-sealed and fill up with nitrogen. Work perfectly good. Seat post 37 and half inches! -Swingarm linkages still factory, shock bushings also. I just cleaned, re-greased and put together. On the swingarm still the factory "500R" logos, NOT a stickers!! The rear brake shoes still factory, and still work perfectly. -The engine case is complete, never been welded,or "JB" I don`t know what cheap stuff is that! I think the old style engine guard from Acerbis helped... (90`s) I measured every single clutch plates, friction plates clutch springs, gear forks etc.. and every parts still Very close to the normal measurement! I purchased a Highest quality gasket kit from Italy, and used to put together the engine. Brand new Boyesen reed valve. Brand new DG silencer. The frame was sand blasted, primered, and painted. I just thinked about that, change the factory black steel handlebar back, but i think this Renthal alloy from late 80`s, looks much better! Handle grips brand new factory, and also brand new factory tank decals. Twin air air filter. On the airbox NO any melted hole where is the exhaust pipe!!! I purchased a same tooth rear sprocket what was on it before. 45 (factory 51) The second owner,he know a lot about these kind of bikes. When the piston and rod was changed, from there we used Only a Castrol TTS Racing oil! Important and easy rule!! The sad thing is u can NOT find in here US that type of oil, the closest place is U.K. Back to the rear sprocket. 2nd owner changed 6tooth smaller, because the rpm. This beast can work much lower rpm, but than the bike is more faster, and this is 100% cooling for the engine!!!!! Still powerfull, but he thinked save the engine life. I think that helped a lot, and that`s why still factory size the cylinder!!! Anyway, if u have any questions about the bike, feel free to ask me, I think the pictures are talk too. No international bidders please! Buyer is responsible for all shipping cost will drop off, and any possibly crate for a fee, $500 deposit due within 24HRS of auction end.
