Vehicle Detail

Little Bit Of History: 280 SL (December, 1967-March, 1971) The 2.8 liter 280 SL was introduced in 1967 and continued production largely unchanged through 1971 when the W 113 was replaced by the entirely new, and substantially heavier, R 107 350 SL/450 SL. Most 280 SL cars built for the U.S. market were equipped with automatic transmission. Manual transmission cars came with either a 4-speed transmission or the super rare ZF-5 speed. The ZF 5 speed is very rare sought after by American collectors. In the European market manual transmission cars were still dominant. 23,885 280 SLs were produced, of which 12,927 units went to the USA and 5,754 to other countries outside of Germany. Terms of sale: Because this is a classical car and over 40 years old, the seller shall not be responsible for the correct description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein, and makes no warranty in connection therewith. Vehicle is sold in the AS-IS Condition. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, imperfection, defect or damage. Any descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgment solely. Payment instructions and shipping: $500 Deposit via PayPal within 24 hours after the end of the auction. The balance (cash, money order, bank check or wire transfer) is due 7 days after the end of the auction. All potential buyers are more than welcome to inspect this beauty before the end of the auction. International bidders are welcome. Shipping: You are more than welcome to pick it up yourself or arrange your own shipping, but if you don’t know anything about it and need help I will be glad to arrange the shipping. Shipping in the continental US is about $800.00- $950.00 from coast to coast, similar prices from Florida to N.Y. If you are somewhere in between use common sense and figure it out, or email me and I can give you quote by the next day. Shipping would be COD. The shipping to Europe from Florida would cost from $ 800.00 – $1100.00 depending where you want the car. Ports like Rotterdam or Amsterdam are the cheapest (about $800.00) and than as you go along the coast the price goes up. France, England, Spain… etc are about $950.00 give or take few dollars for insurance which depends on a final value of the car. Shipping is paid once you get the car. So no cost out of pocket at all until you take delivery of the car. I would take care of all the paperwork; I would also bring the vehicle to the port in order to be shipped. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AND GOOD LUCK BIDDING. FEEL FREE TO CALL ME AT 1 (904) 994-2021 Regards Bo
