Vehicle Detail

This would be an excellent mechanics project, farm or parts truck. Still runs strong with working 4x4. Requires work to pass inspection, no longer worth it for me to maintain. I purchased this truck in May of 1996 with 109507 miles. This truck was purchased for use while I remodeled my home and was lightly used during the last 4+ years. I purchased the truck from a small dealer. I don't know the trucks history. Typical Ford rust on fenders, cab and bed;Clean tailgate and doors, some rust in the cab floor boards, but no holes; Fuel injected V6 engine runs strong. It does make a slight ticking noise at higher RPM, however this has been constant during the time that I've owned the truck and does not appear to be a problem; The engine does leak some oil, however it does not burn oil and I've never had to fill between oil changes; Oil looks clean; Dual fuel tanks which both work; gas smell is evident after filling front tank, but the tank does not leak fuel; 4x4 is working and I’m not aware of any issues with the transmission or transfer case. Locking hubs for the 4x4; Clutch is good; 4 good, matching snow tires - Cooper Discover M+S (31 x 10.5 R 15); 2 purchased new last October, only 2k miles on these tires in the last year; 2 were new when I purchased the truck – less than 10k miles of tread wear; Decent Bed liner with normal wear/tear and trailer hitch; I'll try to post a picture without the snow in the bed. New emissions sticker (passed emissions test before I halted the inspection work); The truck is running and on the road. However, due to the lack of inspection and the potential risk of failure due to the cracked front coil spring it will likely need to be towed. My local shop estimated $1500 in parts and labor would be necessary in order to pass inspection. The list of problems includes: - one cracked front suspension coil - recommended replacing both front coils - one bad rear leaf spring shackle - recommended replacing both shackles on the leaf spring - bad muffler and exhaust pipe - need new - missing battery tie down - must be replaced This list is based on the best information I have based on the estimate from my shop. I make no guarantee regarding the accuracy or completeness of this list. This truck is being sold as-is. Cash sales only. Title transfer to be conducted in person with buyer responsible for towing/transport. $250 cash deposit due within 48 hours of auction closing with balance due within 7 days.
