Vehicle Detail

1987 Ford Country Squire LX 8-passenger Wagon - only 55K original owner miles original window sticker, maintenance history, and operator's manual . . . . a true CLASSIC !!! Dark clove brown metallic exterior with clove brown cloth interior. Standard Equipment: 5.0 Liter V-8 engine, automatic overdrive transmission, power front disc / heavy duty rear drum brakes, power steering, vinyl bodyside moldings, dual electric remote control mirrors, luxury seat/door trim, power side windows, 10 oz. cut-pile carpeting 3-way door gate, dual facing rear seats. Optional Equipment: Speed control, deluxe luggage rack, rear window defroster, power lock group, tilt steering wheel, cornering lamps, pivoting front vent windows, stereo radio/cassette, cast aluminum wheels, front/rear carpeted floor mats, front/rear bumber rub strips HISTORY: Vehicle was purchased new in 1987 by my parents and used for their annual "snowbird" trip to Homestead, Florida each winter. Dad passed away in 1989 and I drove Mom to Florida each winter for 2 additional years . . . until Hurricane Andrew destroyed her Florida residence in 1992. At that time Mom was 77, missed Dad, and decided that she was not going back to Florida. She used the vehicle for weekly trips to beautician, church and grocery until, at the age of 82, she decided that she should no longer drive. Recently we transferred title into my name but kept the vehicle in her garage to use since it was difficult for her to get into my truck or my wife's SUV. Mom passed away in Sept. In late Oct I took the vehicle to Ziebart for their DIAMONDSHINE exterior and interior service. It has been covered and stored in a garage ever since while my brother and I decide what to do with it. ISSUES: 1) Tires have decent tread but not matched set due to replacement tire. A new set w/alignment would probably improve ride and handling. 2) Mom damaged left rear body molding over rear wheel well when backing out of garage (picture). 3) "Low Fuel" indicator warning lite REMAINS LIT even with full fuel tank. 4) Air conditioning unit needs a re-charge. NOTES: I am advertising this vehicle locally and reserve the right to end this auction prematurely pending such sale.
