Very well cared for 1983 Porsche 911 Targa. I have receipts dating back to 2004 totaling over $16,000 worth of work done to the car. All work has been completed in the last 20,000 miles. I'll list a run down of the service history at the bottom of the ad. This is a very good looking and running 911, paint is in excellent shape, as is the body. Interior overall is in very good shape considering its age. Seats have been recovered and look good. Arm rest on passenger side is a little droopy. Dash looks very good and believe it or not all the gauges work, even the clock! I'd give the interior a 7.5-8 for overall condition, above average for an 83 Porsche 911. The exterior I'd rate 8.5-9, its pretty nice. Paint is in excellent shape as is the body. Complete repaint on 3-5-08 cost was $3075. The car has upgraded brakes and rotors off of a race spec 944 turbo(according to receipts) they look bigger than stock and are drilled, brakes work awesome. Wheels look to me to be off a Boxster? they are 17". Brand new 205/50/17 tires as of 8-17-2010. The car runs excellent, no smoke at startup, and no issues while driving. It runs great. Transmission was rebuilt @ 161,410 miles( I have the receipt). Again I'll list the mait. records in a bit. My impressions after driving the car are great. Its tight as can be, no play anywhere, transmission shifts great, and the motor pulls great with no issues. Clutch feels good, lights and such work fine, just inspected in NC. This car has been properly maintained by certified Porsche mechanics and it shows. Only complaint while driving is wind noise at high speeds from the Targa top and with all air cooled Porsches the heater is warm at best!! Seriously though, this Porsche is in excellent mechanically and i would drive it to California in a minute. Yes its still an 83 model so its not perfect, so if you have any specific questions just ask and I'll be happy to answer them. Also North Carolina Title is clean and clear. Also autocheck as you can see is clean, no accidents. However Carfax does show a possibility of Salvage in virginia in 2001 even though Autocheck and the North Carolina title are both clean, probably a clerical error(happens sometimes), but just wanted to mention it.
