Up for auction is a freshly restored 1953 Buick Roadmaster Convertible model 76C. The full restoration was completed by renowned Buick restoration experts, Jenkins Restorations of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. Jenkins attention to detail and factory correctness is top notch. No expense has been spared in this restoration. We believe it is the finest 1953 Buick Roadmaster in the world. According to our research there is no 1953 Roadmaster that compares to the quality of this car. The Buick has approximately 25 miles since restoration. 1953 was the most important year in GM history. In 1953 GM introduced many new features and body styles. Buick released the Roadmaster for their 50th anniversary. The car featured the new 322 cubic inch "Nailhead" V8 motor. The Dynaflow automatic transmission was updated for increased performance. 1953 features the teardrop headlights and Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels that made Buick famous. The 1953 Buick Roadmaster if far more rare than the custom Skylark. Today there are very few 1953 Buick Roadmasters available. We have been unable to find a single example that compares to our vehicle. Jenkins Restorations and most Buick purist believe that the 1953 Buick Roadmasater is more desirable than the Skylark. Especially a vehicle that has under gone the best restoration available. The Buick features a highly desirable color combination. The exterior color is Carlsbad Black with a two-tone black and red full leather interior. This is a special order GM interior color combination that we believe is the only kind in its existence. The body was removed from the chassis, stripped, and body work/paint by Jenkins Restorations. The body is very straight and the panel fit it excellent. All rubber weather stripping was replaced. Chrome is in excellent condition. The interior fabrication by Jenkins is second to none. They completely stripped the interior and dashboard to the bare metal, repainted, rebuilt all seat foam, rewired, re-plumbed the hydraulics. The interior was completed to the highest standards. Hill Jenkins believes this might be one of the best interior fabrications the shop has completed. The 1953 Roadmaster interior is very complicated with high detail such as the checkerboard dash, stainless waffle patterned door door panel, rear seat panel, and front kick panel trims, gold plated winged Roadmaster door panel logos, stainless A pillar trims, detailed top stitch on the door panels and seats and the list continues. The Roadmaster features many appointments that were omitted from the Skylark. We have never seen an interior that has been completed to this level of quality. It is truly a piece of artwork. The mechanicals have all been rebuilt. Jenkins rebuilt the engine and detailed the engine bay to factory specifications. The 322 cubic inch V8 runs beautifully. The car drives just like you would have expected a new 1953 Buick does with nice smooth power, excellent brake feel, and cruises very straight. Our Buick has two sets of wheels and new tires. The Buick has non-reproduction Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels with new 8.00-15, 3 inch white wall tires. The second set of wheels are the correct steel wheels with stainless steel hubcaps. Both sets are in excellent condition and with no tread wear on the tires. Do not miss this rare opportunity to own the finest 1953 Buick Roadmaster convertible in existence. The terms of this Agreement cannot be changed, modified, released or discharged orally. III. Severability. If a court of competent jurisdiction determines that any clause or provision of this Agreement is void, illegal, or unenforceable, the other clauses and provisions of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect and the clauses and provisions which are determined to be void, illegal, or unenforceable shall be limited so that they shall remain in effect to the extent permissible by law.
