Vehicle Detail
Hold onto your hats boys! You have seen a lot of nice cars roll down the road over the years, as have I, but none have made my heart go pitter patter like the masterpiece that is up for your entertainment today. As I said, I have spent many years collecting and restoring some of the finest muscle cars you could ever hope to own so I think I have learned how to tell the good ones from the junk. This one has everything you want and then some. Yes it may be a tribute car but more than anything it’s a tribute to what quality time, money and love can produce! We are all aware the 1st generation Camaro’s are one of the hottest hot rods on the road and are increasing in value at a far greater rate than nearly any other machine on the road. We all know these are like gold and always hold their value well. Another well known fact is that the market is down right now and these cars are worth about as little as they ever will be. With that said there is no better time to buy than now and enjoy the upswing as the market value increases. This car is A+ and will impress you in every way! All that being said lets find out why I think this car deserves your attention. I purchased this car from a great guy who poured his heart, soul and pocketbook into his dream car. He bought the car in very restorable condition and invested over 30 grand to get it where it sits now. He was building the car to race and show so it is rock solid and ready to rumble. He is a gear head in every sense of the word and this car is a testament to what happens when love and metal mingle in years of romance. Sadly he ran into times of trouble and had to cut short his love affair with this red beauty and so I took her off his hands. OK, enough of the bad news lets get on to what this amazing individual accomplished while he still had the finances to supplort his dream girl.. First we will start with the body. This F body is so strait and solid it is memorizing. There is not even a hint of rust anywhere and all the panels appear to be original. All the work was done with no expense sparred at a top notch body shop here in Nampa Idaho. The body work is impeccable and the 10 grand worth of work done is a testament to that. The paint is PPG Corvette Torch Red and the White stripes are of course under a deep layer of PPG clear that has been color sanded and polished to a mirror shine worthy of many car show trophies. Nearly every piece of chrome is new or in like new condition. Most of the glass and window trim are new. The grill and surround are new as are the rocker chromes and all the RS equipment. The rear tail lights are LED displays and wow do they look cool. The hood is a cowl induction piece and looks great from inside or outside the vehicle. The windows and doors all work as they should as do all the exterior light’s etc. The car has a new set of MB old schools 20’s and 18’s wrapped in Nitto 555 Drag radials which really set the car off with style and a great stance. Now onto the interior which is nearly all new from the headliner to the carpet. This includes, but not limited to, a new: dash, seats, visors, Sony stereo CD player with Ipod and USB connections and 4 (high output) speakers (fronts that are in custom kick panels), many misc. plastic pieces etc. etc. etc. The heater is new as is the custom steering wheel. The gauges are all new and work great, and the racing tach works flawlessly. The gears are controlled via the Hurst ratchet shifter. All windows and doors work perfect and all weather stripping is new. The seats are cobra style buckets and have the reclining option that was never available in 1967 but sorely needed. The rear view mirror and all hardware are new. The glove box, ash tray, center dash trim door panels, package tray, carpet and sound deadener, windshield wiper motor etc. etc. etc. are all new. The underside of the car is clean, new and very show worthy. The tank is New and hung by new tank straps. The shocks are all new gas units and do all that is required of them. The frame has been connected via frame connectors to make the car solid as can be. The front brakes are new power disc and the rears are rebuilt drum. The restoration has been on going for 6 years and has less than 100 miles on it since completion. The drive train of this classic is strong and sound. The power plant is a GM crate 350 putting out around 350 h.p. It has a mild cam and a nice rumble. The Edelbrock carb gives quick throttle response and is very streetable. The motor is new and has not a single oil leak. There is plenty of chrome and billit alluminum to impress all who gather to peer under the hood. The power steering assembly is new. There is an electric fan to conrol the cooling and increase the ponies. The exhaust exits through performance headers and new custom exhaust and flow master mufflers. Power transfers to the ground through a built TH350 automatic transmission that is newly worked over and then down the line to a 10 bolt rear end and 4.11 gear ratio. This car launches quickly and is very snappy and sounds the part of a true muscle car. All the suspension is new, or rebuilt, including all frame mounts etc. The front end and steering are of course new also. All bumpers, emblems, etc are new as is much of the wiring. I have a harder time thinking of what is not new on this car than what is. I think I have about said it all. If you want to impress the local car show crowd and drag home weekly trophies to adorn your man cave then by all means bid to own her. If you are just plain sick of that kid in the rice burner that pulls up beside you at the stoplight and just begs for a schooling in what true horse power is then you have this mans blessing. Even if you just want to park it in your personal museum and pet it every night she will gladly take your attention. The one thing you will not be is disappointed. You just don’t get a chance to own an appreciating investment that will make you appreciate all your senses every day you own her. You only live once so bid to own and you’ll never be able to stop smiling! Happy Bidding!!! Terms: Deposit of 10% due with 24 hours of auction end and balance due within 7 days or before delivery.
