1964 M38 A1 military jeep. I have had this jeep for 9 years. It is a lot of fun, but I don't drive it very much. It is time to let someone else enjoy it. The engine was overhauled with all new NOS parts per previous owner with the odometer replaced to 00000. I purchased it with approximately 1,200 miles on it. I've put approximately 1,500 miles on it. Current reading is 2,7000 miles. Items I replaced when I purchased the jeep include complete brake parts (pads, springs, wheel cylinders, drums, wheel bearings, shims, seals, brake lines, hoses, and master cylinder), fuel lines (all new fuel lines, hoses, shut off valve, rebuilt carburetor fuel tank cleaned and sealed, new filter, and gasket), all fluids changed and serviced, radiator repaired with new thermostat, shielded ignition wires, plugs, cap, rotor, seal, points, capacitor, and charging system rewired. New fording cables and valve installed. All fording lines are new. I have just flushed the radiator and serviced all fluids. It comes with axe and shovel under the hood. Seat and top canvas is good. I replaced the glove box storage under passenger seat seals. It has a military light switch. Blackouts do not operate. All lights and horn work. It also has a siren. The jeep runs and drives well. Oil pressure is good. Items that may need to be done include steering gear box bushing. Tires have side wall checking and cracking, but appear to be servicable. The jeep was converted to 12 volt starting and charging by previous owner. I do not make any deals off of ebay, please do not contact me to do so.
