Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1967 Camaro RS coupe, mostly original and intact. It is a real factory bench seat and fold down rear seat car, and while the front bench needs recovering, it is there and intact. The car also appears to be a factory air car, or at least a dealer supplied option from back in the sixties, and the equiptment is there and intact, although if it operates I don't know, never tried it. It is definately an RS, and the original grill and equiptment appears to be all there and intact, have not tried to operate the headlight doors though. I bought the car with the intention of going through it and completely re-doing it, basically drove it into storage and parked it, that was 3 years ago and I don't think I am going to have the time this car deserves. It was originally a 327 / 3 spd manual on the tree, NO LONGER HAS THE ORIGINAL ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION... it currently has a 400 small block and a 4 spd on the floor. The rear axle is a 10 bolt. The original 3spd column shift parts are in the trunk, so it could be put back to original. The manual column is still there as well. As far as the rest of the car goes, the overall condition of the body is pretty good, the front fenders are rusty on the bottoms, and the floors are rusty and need replaced or patched. I bought the car as a running driving restorable, and it was driven by the previous owner regularly before I bought it. There is a small ding on the left quarter right under the rear quarter window on the quarterpanel line. The paint looks original, it is very faded and weathered. I put the 14in rallys and newer tires on it, and it was parked.Feel free to ask any questions, if you are local I would be happy to show the car anytime. I am open to interesting trade/cash offers on anything except fords, motorcycles are fine too. I will gladly help load the car or help a shipping company load the car. The car will need a fresh battery and gas to get it running again, but should be a deecent driver after that, keep in mind it has sat for a few years, so a good going over by a competent mechanic would be advisable.Thank you and good luck bidding, I set the reserve low and reasonable, and it is for sale locally as well, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Just ask, I will do my best to supply answers! On Dec-27-10 at 17:34:22 PST, seller added the following information: NOTE* I listed the mileage as 46282, as that is what the odometer shows, I have no idea how many times the odometer has flipped, so NO, this is not a 46k mile original car!!!! Just so ya know!On Dec-27-10 at 22:08:13 PST, seller added the following information: Hello everyone, thanks for all the interest in the car! 5 hours into the auction and I have been answering tons of emails and questions, and have entertained several offers. Everyone has inquired what my local sale price is so I thought I would post a note about that. I have had a local musclecar dealer offer his cash price and trade/cash offer on it, and I wanted to see if I could sell the car outright on ebay myself. I am only selling the car because I don't think I will have time to restore it myself, and I am aware of the rarity of the options this car has. I don't want to put a price on the car yet simply for the fact that the trade plus cash offers are very interesting, and honestly its not ALL about the money, I either want a neat trade or enough cash to buy another cool toy. That being said, the right offer will get a positive response!!! I know it is not a numbers matching big block rs/ss yenko .... but it is a really nice base car to do a resto on, and it will be worth a LOT when that is done... The reserve is well under 10k, just so you all know!!!! So, when it hits that number, no matter what, it will sell to the high bidder. Til it hits reserve, I will consider offers/trades... tell me what its worth to you, and lets talk! thanks you all very very much for all you interest!!!On Dec-28-10 at 13:57:34 PST, seller added the following information: One important note to all bidders!!! If you are new to ebay, have a feedback of less than 10 you must communicate with me prior to bidding!!!!! If you do not, I may choose to cancel your bids. Thanks for your understanding!!!On Dec-29-10 at 16:50:28 PST, seller added the following information:
