Vehicle Detail
1993 Ford F150 4x4. Good Project Truck. Has inline straight 6 engine. I bought this truck a couple of years ago, hoping to restore it. I bought a used motor from a buddy, and had it put in (over $1200.00 worth of new stuff & labor. Water Pump, fan, etc...) I drove it a couple of times and then parked it, and have not moved it since. Yesterday(Sunday 12/26) I had my mechanic come over and take a look at it, we got it started, locked in the 4 wheel drive, and drove it up and down the driveway a few times. The 4 wheel drive works great! After moving it around we popped the hood, and there was some smoke coming from the oil dipstick, and also from the place where you put oil in. The truck does run, but it smokes too. My mechanic said that best case it could be a "stuck ring", since its been sitting for a couple of years...Worst case scenario, it needs a new motor. Bottom line is, I already have $2500.00 invested in this truck, and can not afford to put any more in it. Since it has been sitting, a branch fell off of a tree and busted the windshield. and it still needs the following: -shifter for the four wheel drive-radio installed (which was also stolen since its been sitting)-New Rings? put in the motor-and a few other minor items. I am not a mechanic, all that I know is what the mechanic told me...it COULD need a new motor put in. I really do like this truck a lot, but just can't put any more time or money into it. I understand that you can purchase a decent motor from places like pick a part for around $175.00, and have it installed for a couple of hundred dollars. With a small investment on your part you could have a truck worth upwards of $3500.00. The pictures which have close up's of the trim, looks like rust, but is actually just dirt...sorry... The ONLY really bad spot is on the Drivers side of the bed, where you see the rust forming over the wheel well, and the very bottom rear corner of the bed has some rust and a dent. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them for you to the best of my knowledge. 317..383..6450 (I do not know how many miles are actually on the vehicle...sorry) Winner of auction must pay a $500.00 deposit via pay pal within 48 hrs of winning this auction, and the rest in cash upon pick up of the vehicle. You will have to have it towed or pulled home from my house. ***I also have the truck for sale locally, so I may end the auction early if indeed it does sell***
