1940 Cadillac Lasalle Sedan 2 door. One of 366 ever made. Extremely rare original barn find car. I know of only one other and it has been hotrodded. This is a almost complete car in need of a complete restoration. Motor is complete but is currently seized but has been filled with diesel and has just started to move just a little. I am taking my time with the motor as im hoping to save it. It was running when parked 15+ years ago. The interior is there but needs complete restoration , but its complete enough so it may be easily duplicated back to original. The body style is what makes this car so rare. It is the last year of production for the lasalle and the only year of this style. I cannot find any pictures of this car anywhere. I am hoping the new owner will restore the car to original as it should be in a museum or a high end collection when finished. The car is fairly solid except for the trunk floor. It came with most of the parts for the car. a few pieces are missing but can easily be found from donor four door models. its the 2 door sedan that makes this car so rare. As far as i know the barn where i got this car from was its resting place for the past 15 years or so and before that it was in another barn. I was hoping to restore it myself as my business is restoring the steel work on classics.. but business is so busy i just dont have time for my projects and that is why im offering it for sale. I have a low reserve on it as i got it for a fair price and i dont mind passing it along. But i wont give it away as it is such a rare car and has the potential to be a high end collector. This is a real barn find that i was lucky enough to be offered just by doing a little job for a local farmer. Its a great car for restoration. The cadillac lasalle club of america doesnt even have a picture of one of these. the car must be paid in full upon completion of sale , pickup of car within three weeks of sale. *note car is sold with a bill of sale , i do not have the ownership for the car.
