Vehicle Detail
What I have here is a 1951 Chevrolet Pickup, five window, Old Navy Display. All of the trucks were prepared for the Old Navy stores by the Alan Brasington Network in New York and stripped of engines and transmissions. I originall bought the truck in Tennessee to build a cool old cruiser to run around in but a military obligation has caused me to have a change of plans. My loss is your gain. Most of these trucks have been sold or were destroyed when Old Navy updated their store displays. Many of the trucks were cut in half at the frame so that they could easily be put in the stores, however, this was a ground floor store with double doors, so the frame has not been cut and appears to be pretty solid. As stated above, the truck has no engine or tranny and is just a roller. The glass is all there and not cracked. The chrome on the truck is all new... front bumper, grill, back bumber, front emblem, and headlight trim rings. I also have new chromed door handles that are with the truck. The chrome alone is worth far more than I am selling this truck for! There is a steering column from a late model firebird in the front seat. Though not in the pictures, the running boards are there and also pretty solid. The bed is great as well but the bed floor is just a sheet of plywood - easy to replace. I had the truck shipped to Georgia to body shop where it currently resides, so I hope what pictures I have will suffice because I am unable to take more from my location. I have set the reserve very, very low so this truck will sell. I have done the best I can with this description but see my feedback as I am an honest seller. There is no vin on the shell and no title to the truck. I bought it that way and the winning bidder will be given a bill of sale. With a little work this truck could be a very cool cruiser! Good luck and happy bidding! ** Changed the listing from 7 days to 3 days - decided to go out of town for Christmas at the last minute and may not have access to internet... hope this doesn't cause any issues for anyone. Thanks and good luck! ** On Dec-21-10 at 19:16:23 PST, seller added the following information: *** Just to be fair to everyone... I have had an overwhelming response to this truck! I have spent my whole day fielding emails from ebay bidders and taking calls from my local ad... GEESH! I just put the ads up! I did not realize this was gonna be such a popular old truck! Who woulda thunk it? This being said, I did list the truck with the right to sell locally, so, if no more bidders hit the page soon I'm gonna sell to one of the local folks before auction end. So, I would suggest not waiting til the last sec to try and beat out the next guy by a few bucks cause with the local responses I'm getting, it most likely will not make auction end before it goes bye-bye locally. If the right number comes along from ebay first, I will also end the auction early and move on. So bid what your gonna bid and lets get on with it! ***
