This was a one owner truck ordered to Lakeport, California by the County Supervisor for his private use.I was fortunate to add this truck to my collection in 2003 from his heir.The truck was ordered with the Hurricane Six engine a custom Barden bumper with gas can holders and a back up light.The truck never had a radio has a delete plate, but was equiped with a rare fresh air plenum heater .The headliner has been removed as was the gun rack.The truck also had aluminum Warn front axle lock outs to allow free wheeling.The truck also had undercoating dealer installed in the fender wells front and rear.The truck was used for Ducks and Bucks and never abused but was well cared for including meticulus maintenence and had a repaint in 1977 that is still quite servicable.There is very few bemlishes and the truck would be an easy repaint as it is very straight through all panels. The engine was blueprinted before the owners death by a master machinist who retired after I bought it. (I was lucky to have the same man build a late Ford Flathead for my 1948 Truck I still own. )The engine has 2000 miles on it and is in "as new" condition at this time This truck has the "Hurricane Six" that runs whisper quiet and has no leaks ...starts right now in original 6 volt system which charges effortlessly.The fuel pump is a two diaphram for fuel and vacumn volume for the wipers.The carb has been rebuilt and the Factory Air Cleaner is an oil bath. The engines uses no oil nor does it smoke and the fram c3 oil filter is original. The drive train is quiet and the T-90 3 speed is also whisper quiet and tight as the day it was built.The transfer case in and out and High Low Shift operate perfect. The transfer does not leak nor does the axels. This truck does not kick out of gear nor does the transfer under a load or deceleration. The steering box and tie rods as are the king pins and leaf spring are all in spec and a pleasure to drive The truck is extrembly tight as the original mileage is a little over 70,000 as I installed a new speedo cable thinking it was making noise but the odometer was and became disabled and stopped the whirring noise,but the speedo works fine as do the instruments and oil and charging indicators The horn button is defective and a after market horn had been installed prior to my purchasing. The radiator is perfect as are the hoses for the heater.I run 50/50 water to antifreeze and the engine was rebuilt with brass freeze-plugs and has no weeps from them or the headgasket. The brakes stop dead straight and has a 3/4 pedal height.The emergency parking brake needs a new cable. The 5 wheels are original with stainless rings. The tires are "old" school bias and should be updated to 16" wide whites to double the stares that it already receives. There is a small dent in the front bumper rt side and a 6" dent in the Rear Fender bottom.The back window has several vertical cracks as does the drivers roll up but don't leak! The interior floor boards are as new.The truck has the rare original rubber floor mats with the Willy's embossed Logo in the rubber I have shown this truck and been in parades as a proud survivour. My wife even rides with me as the thumbs up are always offered by others as it goes anywhere. The owner had it repainted and upholstered and reassembled with rubber shims so there are almost no rattles.The front and rear plates are original installed on this truck in 1963 and match the pink slip.
