You are bidding on a 1968 Chrysler Newport Sport Coupe. “The Survivor” I bought this car to restore it and found out about a month after I bought it that I was riddled with Cancer from fighting in Vietnam, Agent Orange… and could not continue working on my cars. I have to go through too many chemotherapy treatments and will be in and out of the hospital for months and months. I have no more interest or energy to do my car thing. Anyway look at the pictures and read all the things before you place your bid please. Good things Restoration has been started. New Paint, New Brakes, some new hoses, this car is a good Survivor. Original Mileage…. 51,000 that is one of the reasons I bought it. This car runs and drives good on the streets and even better on the freeway. Under the new paint is the original paint. This car does not have a bunch of rust or dents under the new paint. Power Steering… Power Brakes, Power seats , Original Hub caps, Extra Parts in trunk. 383ci, 2 barrel carb, Auto transmission. Lots of power, Trans shifts good. Things needing attention: one seam on the headliner is torn. Drivers seat needs insert and carpets need cleaning. Radio and a few dash parts need to be installed (they are in the trunk). Drivers window does not go up, but you can hear the motor turn when you push the button. Tires have slight cracking maybe a tune up. This car is currently registered and insured and is driven every few days or weeks like to a car show or just to go for a drive. Depending on where you live you could most likely drive it home. I would be a little nervious about the cracks in the tires but other then that I would probably drive it anywhere.
