Vehicle Detail
You will be proud to own and drive this stellar, one owner offering from the Piper Mountain collection presented with NO RESERVE. Haul your pride and joy with this extra clean, smooth and powerful Lariat F350 dually diesel with four wheel drive, FX4 package and seating for six. Never seen a New England winter as it has spent it's whole life in sunny Florida. Must have been stored inside because there is no fading, peeling or sun damage of any kind. I have a friend in Florida who knows I like extra clean vehicles of distinction and told me about this one. I flew down and was amazed at the clean condition so I bought it and drove it 1,600 trouble free miles home. Goes down the road smooth and vibration free. Shifts through the five Torqshift automatic gears just like it should. Engine fires up perfectly, even in the cold of New Hampshire. Was running in the pictures at 6 AM at 10 degrees. No smoke, drips, leaks, smells or problems of any kind. Needs nothing and would confidently drive any distance. Interior is mint. No rips, stains, smells or wear marks anywhere. This is highly unusual for a truck of this vintage and tells you alot about how it has been gently used and lovingly maintained. The leather seats are not worn and the rears do not look like they have been sat on. The steering wheel and arm rests are unmarked. This truck is heavily optioned with luxury features: Both front seats are six way power with lumbar control, the pedals are power adustable, the rear window is power, the parking sensor is handy, the six cd AM/FM stereo is clear, the headlights have an auto on/off feature, driving lights can be on with parking lights (my favorite daytime setting) or with headlights, every button and light functions perfectly. The trip comuter gives lots of useful information along with the compass/outside temperature. All gauges are clear and functioning properly including the factory transmission temperature gauge which is very useful when pulling a load. Exterior is near mint with only deduct for a couple hairline scratches at bottom of passenger door. Arizona Beige paint is deep and glossy. No parking lot dings or chips in paint. There were a few small chips along the door edge that have been touched up and are unnoticable. Alloy wheels show no curb rash. etching or defects. Bumpers are shiny and straight with no dents. Tires and disc brakes at all four corners are 80%. Just put through shop for $1,500 service with new ball joints, stabilizer bar links, engine and tranny fluids and filters, air filter, fuel filters, wiper blades, transfer case fluid and alignment. Power adjustable, heated mirrors with lights/turn signals which extend for towing and fold in for tight spaces. Bed has a $1,600 retractable cover that is very handy and sharp looking. Bed rails are ready to recieve your fifth wheel and/or gooseneck hitch. Pre wired with electric trailer brake controller. Plastic liner looks great and protects the bed. Glass is crack, chip and mark free with tinting on windshiled header and side windows. Four wheel drive engages instantly with auto hub switch on dash. Probably hasn't seen much if any use. Manual hubs are provided should the auto system ever fail and they turn easily by fingertip. Undercarriage is as clean as rest of truck. We in the Northern states really appreciate this because it is so rarely found. But with no harsh winter exposure you are looking at a factory fresh underside. Finally a few of my thoughts on the 6.0 litre diesel engine. I have been a big fan of the 7.3's and have collected, restored and enjoyed many over the years. They have a great reputation for being reliable. They are also a bit rough, noisy and dirty. When the EPA mandated cleaner diesel standards the 7.3 was abandoned and Ford had Navistar create the clean burn 6.0 for phase in during the 2003 model year. Some of the early engines had problems mostly caused by the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recurculator) valve getting clogged due to high sulfer content fuel. Now all diesel fuel is low sulfer and everything runs cleaner. For owners that put theirs to extreme use like hauling very heavy loads over mountains it was discovered you could delete the EGR valve and provide better engine protection. This truck had a clogged EGR valve in it's second year at 47,000 miles and the owner didn't notice the climbing temperature and cooked the engine. The good part is that under warranty Ford installed a new engine so the actual mileage on this engine is about 70,000 miles. With clean burn low sulfer fuel now mandated everywhere there should be no more problems. The dated four speed auto transmission was also replaced when Ford went with the 6.0. The new generation trans is a Torqshift five speed with a "tow/haul" mode which replaces the old "overdrive off" switch. The trans senses conditions like hills and loads and adapts the shifting up or down as needed. Tall final drive gear gives good fuel economy even with the 4:10 rear end gears. Revs at 60 are under 2,000 and you can see mpg's in the high teens unladen. Bid with confidence. Check my 100% seller feedback which is hard to achieve and easy lose. As a "car nut" who appreciates vehicles of distinction I want you to love this truck also. If not I offer a 100% money back guarantee. When you see it in NH you must be pleased or you get your money back. Simple as that. Life is too short to not get exactly what you want. Happy to pick you up at Manchester airport for your pleasureable ride home. Bring your plates or we can get them Mon-Fri at the local DMV. Last bidder wins this truck so please have all permissions and funds in hand. Bidders with less than 5 feedback need to contact me before bidding or bid will be cancelled. Pre buy/bid inspections are welcome anytime. Feel free to email questions or call me at 603.455.2288. Will stop auction for best offer near $20,000 prior to the last twelve hours.
