Up for auction is a 1978 CB 500, with a 550cc engine. There have been many modifications done to this machine as seen in photos. The frame has been shaved of the unwanted brackets and painted. The engine was resealed with new gaskets and seals ( all of them) and painted. The forks have been completly rebuilt with new seals and a new set of tubes from FRANK'S FORKS. Carbs have been rebuilt and pod foam filters added. The bike has new tires and tubes. There are many custom items including seat, rear cowl, battery box and wire harness tray. The stock wiring harness was used and relocated under the seat, so any parts that may need to be replace in the future will be made easy. It has a new sealed battery, which has been located under rear cowl. The rear cowl is an ABS plastic off of newer bike. The paint is newer but is not percect, and the emblems have been repainted. The rims and spokes are original, but the hubs have been cleaned very well. Has new chain and sprockets, also. The bike has a complete new H4 headlight assembly and brackets, as well as all turn signals and brake light. Starter button has been relocated under seat also. It has a custom points cover. All new throttle cables, brake lines, and clutch cable. This bike runs well and looks great, could be tuned more to get maxium performance. Perhaps a mistake at the DMV. The title numbers match the V.I.N. , make, and model. just wanted to clear that up I don't believe they made a 1978 CB500. Thanks, sorry for the misprint.
