I have found that the salvage rebuilders that I buy from Insurance companies are much better because the vehicle was in service and doing fine until damaged.

This is a great running 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 SPORT 4x4 with the popular 5.9L V-8. The engine is quiet and sounds strong with no smoke or rattles and the 4x4 works as it should. You can view the picture of the instrument cluster to see the engine idling at normal operating temp and no fault lights on. The radiator is holding anti-freeze and I did a road-test and it runs straight down the road with all lights & signals working but should be trailered home because of the obvious plus the hood don't latch and would need to be straped down and could still fly up and break windshield?
The damage is what ya see including damaged fan shroud. Damage is basically up the middle and the radiator does not leak but the plastic mounting bracket is broke on the driver side and can be seen in the pic. The a/c condensor has damage in front but is holding freon and blows cold air. This would be your choice to replace both cooling items or not? The windshield is good and all four doors swing as they should. No damage to suspension or frame other than the front frames horns where the bumper is pushed in it obviously did pull both front frame horns in and they will need to be brought to specs. to hang front bumper. The overall truck is in good shape for the age other than normal wear & tear. The seats are in good shape and the top of dash & cup holder are broke. The plastic dash is cracked on every Dodge truck that I have owned. The truck is loaded with factory options and all work as they should including cruise, stereo controls on steering wheel & keyless remote.
Dodge Ram 4x4 Quad Cab trucks are at a premium and this one will be very valuable after the minor damage is repaired. Check the average retail value on a truck like this in your area to see the savings after purchase and repair.
