CLEAN 2004 TDI - 145,000 MILES - ALWAYS Dealer Maintained at Proper Service intervals. Always using Proper Spec VW 505.01 OIL. This vehicle was my daily driver for 4 years. I purchased it as a lease turn-in in 2006 to replace a company car. I travel 36-38K a year mostly long haul trips. The car always performed Flawlessly. As the car aged I did have to replace the normal wear and tear items. In Feb 2010 I noticed a loss of power and despite using only VW TDI PW 1.9L approved spec Oil at the dealer my Camshaft suffered premature failure. I had it replaced with the updated OEM Camshaft, lifters , bearings etc. All of which was OEM updated to address the premature wear issues. At that time the Timing belt service was performed again, this was done at 132,500 miles sadly my extended warranty ran out at 130,000. Included was a new water pump, seals, etc. The mechanic inspected the lower end for signs of scoring in the cylinder walls or any signs of wear, he noted none. In March of 2010 I replaced the rotors with vented corrosion resistant long life rotors and specialty long life pads. April/May I noticed the shifting was a bit more difficult than usual. My VW mechanic noticed the shift gate was worn and replaced that, we also made the decision to replace the clutch as my plan was to drive the car another 150K. I had the clutch replaced with an Updated OEM Low Mass flywheel. At that time the Clutch slave and master cyl. were replaced. The low mass flywheel is 50% lighter than the old stock flywheel and as a result the clutch has a different feel to it, however I am willing to give a one year gaurantee on the clutch from date of purchase. If the clutch fails I will offer a replacement free of charge (labor excluded). The positive aspect is that the car is much quicker than it was previously and has loads of torque and its acceleration rivals that of my 2.0L TDI. Car has Leather seats, Heated Front seats, Winter Weather Package (winter floor liners, mud flaps, heated mirrors, and a set of one year old Cooper Studded Snows). Car also has All seaon tires that were purchased in 2009 Car features tinted windows from the dealer in FL. as well as a power sunroof. Car has an aux Sirrius radio I am offering with one year free service. Overall the car is in excellent condition with a few minor dings and chips in the front. No rust or major issues with the car at all. It recently had the oil service performed. I am selling the car as I purchased a New Jetta TDI in July and only use this car once a week. I do not hesitate to take this car anywhere and still drive it at least twice a week. The car currently needs nothing other than a new antenna The car is listed Locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if the car does sell locally. The temp is 13F here today and the car started perfectly after not running for 5 days. I located additional information about service on the car at 129,000 miles the front struts, suspension bushings, rear struts were all replaced. I also had the stock springs replaced with GTI springs which gives the front end better response and stiffer handling. I have ordered a new arm rest cover as the old one has a slight crack in the handle (i opened it in the cold and it cracked) It should arrive with the attenna and will be on the car at time of sale.
