Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 12th Samurai. This is the one I was going to keep forever, but I have decided to move west and a hardtop Samurai does not make much sense in the hot desert climate. So here it is. I bought this here on ebay a few years ago and it was a wreck just like most. It just ran terrible, shaked, and had rust holes everywhere. I rebuilt it from the ground up. Replaced all the metal by cutting out the old stuff and replacing with new. After that I started making it my own vehicle that was unstoppable in the snow. Here are the things I did to it and why. On the inside: JVC CD/MP3 player with AUX input, MTX pro thunder amp, rear kicker 6x9's front Alpine (gotta have good tunes). Installed a defrost kit on the front windshield (Samurai's have so-so heat and it is a shame to waste it on the winshield, now the windshield thaws almost instantly. I do not notice it when driving, and it can be torn right off if you hate it). Tach (with the new Carb you can over rev it in 5th gear if you really try). Molded floor mats (came with it when I got it). Plastic interior panels (came with, but look cool). New headliner (becuase it looks nice). Under the hood: Chrysler Conquest 72 amp alternator (the amp and the defrost kit need the extra power, and it almost bolts right in). Blaster 2 ignition coil (more fuel+ more spark). Weber carb (A must for any Samurai can do 90mph almost anywhere). Oversized batter (why not). Electric fan (to much power loss with the mechanical one). Clicky starter fix (it is a relay that bypasses the stock starting system, common for samurais (google it)). Under the vehicle: I rebuilt the trans with all new bearings (was getting a growl in neutral (bad input shaft bearing)). Rebuild front Axle with all bearings and seals (Every Samurai needs this... all of them). New U-joints front to rear (I had a bad one when I got it, so why replace just one when you can do all 6). New right rear wheel bearing ( started making noise). New exhaust from the cat back Installed the day before the auction started (Because I don't want to sell a vehicle with a rusty exhaust) Outside: The entire vehicle from the body line down is coated in Herculiner (been keeping the rust away for 3 years now, and it looks cool). General Grabber AT2 tires 12/32's (almost new) (becuase they were the highest rated snow tires I could find). Problems with the vehicle: Has some rust spots showing above the Herculiner line. Rear defrost does not work (never got around to fixing that). Right turn signal lens is broken (never got around to fixing that). Seats torn (normal for Samurai, but they are comfy seats). Has a few oil leaks. Nothing terrible, just a few drips. I planned on putting a VW diesel motor in it. I made a youtube video of everything mentioned above giving a good go around and under of the vehicle. I am starting this auction at 1$ and just letting it roll. I don't want to sell it cheap, but I am going to be moving soon and it needs to go. I trust this vehicle to drive anyplace without a issue. I drove it 104 miles a day (yes 104) to work and back for the last 3 years. It may not be the fastest thing on the road when the weather is nice, but I promise nobody will dare try to keep up with you when the weather gets nasty. This thing is amazing in the snow. I kept my 4WD dodge pick-up parked in the winter as the samurai makes the truck look unsafe in the snow. Here is a link to the youtube video http://www.youtube.com/user/cataplt#p/a/u/0/lh4Bmy1wE8o I can deliver this vehicle for 1.25$ a mile one way (minimum 50$) as long as it is planned before the end of the auction. The delivery charge is non refundable and must be paid in advance. On Dec-08-10 at 02:17:43 PST, seller added the following information: Edit: I have had a lot of people asking what the reserve is. This is a no reserve auction. Whatever it bids to is what it sells for. On Dec-10-10 at 14:59:34 PST, seller added the following information: edit: I just took it up and had a E-check done on it, just incase somebody local buys it. I want to make everything as smooth as possible. It fast passed with ease.
