TO EVERYONE WHO WAS WATCHING AND INQUIRING ABOUT THE BIKE LAST WEEK: I am relisting this bike once more from this past week's listing where it didn't sell. I believe some people got a little skeptical about the Reverse having an issue but I wanted to reassure all the interested folks out there and relist this bike for sale because it truely is in very good condition and will make someone a good bike for years to come. I have lowered the "Buy It Now" price and also the"Reserve Price", even though the previous "Buy It Now" price was still a fair price for this bike. Me and my family need the money more than we do the bike and this is the only reason why I have decided to sell it other than my wife and I hardly ever get a chance to ride. Please contact me with any questions and thank you all for your interest! This 1997 Honda Goldwing bike is in very good condition and has been taken care of and always stored inside when not riding. This was my father's bike before he passed away in 2006. I don't know the individual that he bought the bike from but I believe it was the original owner. My wife and I have put about 2000 miles on this bike locally around middle Tennessee; not getting to ride it very often, plus we have two children, mortgage and really need the money for other things. I never thought I'd like to ride a Goldwing as much as I do now, it handles great, very protected against wind, has a new "lightly-tinted" Tulsa windshield w/vent and the Dunlop tires are still in great shape. It has a metallic Black-Saphire paint causing it to appear black in the shade but a dark metallic blue in the light. There is one scratch on the right rear lower corner above the taillight about 2" long but has been touched up with custom matching paint(SEE PIC). This model has: am/fm cassette, cb transmision, lots of storage, reciever hitch for a trailer, cruise control, air pressure controls and the "Ring of Fire" lights w/speed-control around the front wheel. I have two helmets and a clear title and will demonstrate and/or take interested buyer for a ride if you are local. It will be the responsibility of the buyer to come pick the bike up. Please email with any questions and good luck bidding! * Reverse-Gear This bike has Reverse gear but after listing this bike a week ago and checking the bike over I noticed it hesitates and feels as if it is slipping or not completely engaging. When initiating reverse I had to assist the reverse by pushing backwards with my feet and then it would engage and the bike would move on its own. The Reverse is operated completely separate from the clutch and drive, it's powered by the battery and the starter motor. Just so everyone knows the drive and clutch on the bike are in perfect working condition. Starter works fine, bike takes off quickly, drives and handles great. This is the only issue with the bike that may need to be fixed if you think you will be needing to use the reverse gear regularly. I personally never used it since I got the bike, only to see how it worked and at that time it seemed to work fine. I'm not sure what is wrong with it, it could be something minor or it may not be worth trying to fix, that would be up to you to determine. Other than that the bike is in great condition.
