Vehicle Detail

MY SUPER SWEET 2002 BMW 745LI WITH ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES!!! Up for auction is my 2002 BMW 745LI with 147,000 miles. This BMW is finished in a pearl white paint with a tan leather interior. It's powered by a 4.4L V8 with an automatic transmission with tip-tronic shifting controls. The BMW 745LI is the flagship model of BMW's so you can expect many luxury options including dual zone climate controls, heated/cooled seats, plush leather interior, power sunroof, 10 way adjustable power seats, navigation with voice controls, cd stereo with cd changer, integrated cell phone, push start, rear door air vents, xenon headlights and foglights, 19" wheels and much more. New this vehicle had a window sticker off the showroom floor of over $73,000. The current NADA Blue Book value is $20,775. This BMW is not showroom new anymore and does have a few minor issues so expect to get this 745LI at an amazing wholesale price!!! I drive this BMW everyday and it gets all the looks but it does have a few minor issues. The paint and body are in nice shape with no major dents, body damage or rust. It has definitely been repainted in the past. Not the worst paint job but not the greatest paint job. Looks like it really just needs to be wet sanded in a few areas. The bottom of the front bumper has a crack in it and some overspray on the foglights and the bottom valance on the rear bumper has some cracking and paint peel. The drivers side door handle must be broken or disconnected from the latch because it won't open from the outside. There is also some paint peeling on the edge of the door handle which shows signs of previous body work near the door handle. The 2 front wheels have some curb scrapes on them and the passenger side headlight is hazed and could use buffing. The interior is clean with minimal wear. The leather looks great with one small hole about the size of a dime on the drivers side bolster. All panels, dash, trim and carpet are nice and clean. Heat blows nice and hot and AC blows cold. Issues with the interior include 1) rear passenger side window doesn't go up or down, most likely the switch, 2) plastic tab that holds center console armrest down is broke, 3) drivers side door panel is missing speaker cover, 4) back part of passenger side power seat won't go back and forth but it adjusts in 8 other ways, 5) some of the speakers arhave no sound coming from them and most likely need to be wired, 6) the navigation screen is reading some faults which include "BMW Assist not available" and "Fault in passenger restraint system". Those are all the minor issues affecting the interior of this BMW. Like I said this is the flagship model of BMWs so it's very confortable and tons of room. You can spread your legs out in the rear and it's even got air vents in your doors. Open the hood on this beast and you will find the huge 4.4L V8 powerplant. It starts right up with the push of a button and the motor runs nice and quiet with no strange noises. Sometimes when its cold outside (30 degrees) you will notice some puffs of white smoke coming from the exhaust when you first start it. Pretty common on all high mileage cars when it's cold outside. Goes right away after a minute or when you put it in drive. Car has nice pickup and power and the transmission shifts nice and firm. There is something loose in the front end that needs attention because something rattles when you hit big bumps. A friend told me it could need sub frame bushings or sway bar links. The front tire will also rub a little bit when you turn the steering wheel all the way. If you want the rattling and rubbing to go away you will definitely need to focus some attention on the front suspension. Due to the issues with the suspension, most likely subframe bushings being worn out, you will see on the AutoCheck report that on 11/08 and 11/24 an auctioneer announced that it had unibody damage. If a vehicle has an issue with the suspension like something making noise like this one does than they accounce the vehicle as having unibody damage even though it might not. I see the only signs of unibody damage as being the issues with the front suspension. Drives nice and straight down the road and doesn't pull in any direction. Most of the issues I have explained have never bothered me that much so I never had them fixed. From 20 feet awat the car looks great! It's only till you get up close that you can see the issues with the paint and body. Mechanically the biggest issue is with the front suspension and that has never bothered me enough to fix. With a little bit of TLC you can make this BMW super nice!!! This will be a NO RESERVE auction that will sell to the highest bidder. Full payment due within 3 days following auctions close via bank wire transfer, certified cashiers check or feel free to pick it up at my house in Crownsville, MD and pay cash. I can also have it shipped anywhere in the USA for a great price or fly into BWI Airport and I will pick you up in it. Vehicle will be sold "AS-IS". I have a clear title on hand free of liens.
