1965 Volkswagen Classic beetle BAHAMA BLUE ORIGINAL CALIFORNIA BLACK LICENSE PLATE CAR 100% PAN & BODY RUST FREE You are looking at a great example of an UNMOLESTED bug restored to its original condition with extra clean interior & beautiful exterior. This Beetle has been well taken care over his 45 years of life, with most of his original components in great shape and many other parts been replaced with high quality products. It is a great experience to drive this carwith original 1200cc engine and 6 volt electrical system,both in superb working condition and cosmetically beautiful. YOU HAVE FOUND IT !!! ~ EVERYTHING WORKS ON THIS CAR ~ It is quite hard to find a classic car in original/stock great condition, most of the cars for sale up there have been modified by updating the electrical system to 12 volts, cutting speaker holes into the body, dashes been cut/modified, suspension lowered, pans replaced or repaired, front or back aprons replaced meaning previous accidents. Odometer shows 68,250 miles. By looking at the overall condition I guess they could be original or at the most 168,250. For a 45 years old car this is very LOW MILES !!! This beetle has one of the most rare and beautiful paint colors used by Volkswagen during those years (mid 60's). Everywhere I go with this bug gets many nice compliments or thumbs up while driving. PLEASE READ COMPLETE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BIDDING, I'LL TRY TO DESCRIBE THE CAR TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE : ENGINE:- Original 1200 cc engine rebuilt August 2009 (have receipt for $1,000 paid). - Only 800 miles since then. - It is in excellent running condition and very clean. - Original 6 volt system in great working condition. BRAKES AND SUSPENSION: - Brake system has been checked out and is in excellent condition. - Brake lines replaced recently. - Wheel bearings replaced recently. - Suspension in superb condition, shocks are great. You can drive it in the worst roads and feel the sensation of driving a new bug. - Suspension has never been lowered or modified. - Steering box in great condition. INTERIOR: - PAN IS 100% RUST FREE. - Extra clean and beautiful interior. - New Turquoise/light green front and back seats upholstery made by TMI (company that supplies most of the VW interiors). - Original 2 tone door panels (green-light green) in nice condition. Driver side door panel has a 2-3 in. cut next to the little bag used to store items. - New salt & pepper (gray) carpet. - Original white sun visors. - New white headliner installed professionally. - Original AM-FM Blaukpunt radio has not been tested. A yellow light comes on but there is no speaker. - New high quality door rubber seals. - New window scrappers (this is the rubber on either side of the roll up windows) - New front quarter window rubber in both sides. - New front seat belts. - Locking door system in working condition both sides. - Hand brake, gas gauge, speedometer and horn in working condition. ELECTRICAL: - Original 6 volt electrical system in awesome condition (No signs of cables been replaced or modified, clean untouched wiring harness.) - Turn signals, headlights, high beams, back and stop lights in excellent working condition. - All cables under trunk and engine are in the right place. EXTERIOR: - No signs of front or back aprons been replaced or repaired, this car has never been in an accident. - Car painted 6 months ago in Original Bahama Blue color that came with the car from factory, trunk still shows nice original paint. Paint looks very nice and shiny although has some flaws at the interior dash. It is not a show car quality paint but looks very nice and gets lots of attention. Not many Bahama Blues on the road, so this one looks very unique. -Original side and back windows with VW's small logos. Front windshield has different logo so maybe been replaced at some point of his life. - New high quality window seals (all around) with bug classic chrome trim, this type of seals are very hard to install due to the fact of not bending or breaking the chrome trim. - New chrome trim around the car. - Original HELLA headlights and taillights. - New license plate cover and taillight seals. - New black fender beading. - New chromed exhaust tips. - Four Hankook 165/R15 tires (90% life remaining). Spare tire regular condition. - 3 Original VW logo hubcaps (not cheap reproductions). 2 of them have minor scratches, one near perfect and the last was replaced for a new one. In all of them chrome looks very nice (shiny). - Front and back bumpers replaced last year (front has two minor bumps not very noticeable than can be covered with the license plate). - Working wipers. - New running boards. - I have both front and back license plates but front is bent. IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND A PERFECT CAR,IN THIS BUG THE BAD PART IS WHERE THE FRONT BUMPER BRACKETSARE LOCATED, ONE OF THE SCREWS THAT HOLDS THE UPPER BARBROKE INSIDE, SO NO UPPER BARS WERE INSTALLED. FRONT BUMPER IS INSTALLED .ALSO LITTLE PAINT CAME OFF NEXT TO THE HOLE WHERE ONE OF THE BAR GOES. REGISTRATION JUST EXPIRED 7/08/2010, FEES ARE AROUND $70-90 IN CALIFORNIA AND I DID NOT RENEW IT BECAUSE I DO NOT WANT TO INSURE THE CAR IF ITS GOING TO SELL.
