It breaks my heart to sell this car, but I only drive it a few miles a year in the summer and it does not make financial sense to keep it any longer. You are bidding on a 1979 450 SL with 15" wheels. Runs great and is very easy to work on. The sale includes the hard top which I do not use and it has been kept in the garage since I purchased the car in 2004. The transmission was re-built in 2003 and the rear shocks were replaced. It was painted in 2006. The exhaust was replaced from the headers back in 2007. New plugs, wires and fuel pump in 2008. New battery in 2009. The alternator needs to be replaced and the new part is included with the sale. The air conditioner does not work. Rust is the biggest issue as you can see by the pictures. Water does get into the car when it rains. I have tried to fix the seal for the rag top without success. The car really should be kept in a garage, but I do not have the space. The power window switches need to be replaced. It is a simple fix and I have purchased the switches in the past from Auto Zone. A trim piece is missing from the drivers side door as shown in the pictures.
