This truck has been in my wife's family since she was a teen-ager (the 70's). In the early 80's it was painted, the 289 ford engine and auto transmission was re-built. In the early 90's, my brother-in-law took it over, he lives in Nevada. He used it as a daily driver in a very small town until the fuel tank rotted out. I installed a replacement fuel tank in the cab, never hooking it up. We bought it in the late 90's to restore with our son. We kind of started but it has been in barn storage since we purchased it (not a good place for re-building). It still has the 289 ford engine that last ran when we brought it home, drive train is complete, the front spindles were changed in the 80's to a drop spindle ( I think 2 inches). We mostly dismantled the interior of the cab and some of the exterior, but we have all pieces. The box is in good shape, we have removed the wood bed (it was rotten). There is some rust on top over the front window, drivers side cab post behind fender (see pic's), and top of front fenders had some spots, we welded in pieces and started to fix fenders. Over all though, rust is minimal. Glass is there, but I think 1 wing window is cracked. At one time, the hood was changed to be a front tipper - it does not have the factory hood hinges. We have a clear title. The first photo is when we first brought it home.
