This classic Cougar is in excellent shape. The 351 is the factory motor and it does run strong and smooth.The transmission is definately tight.. I do hear a small exhaust leak. All the body parts are original as well, no replacement fenders, hood, even the bumpers are the original.The paint is about 4 months old and is the factory white with a soft orange pearl, and the vinal roof is new as well. All the glass is good. It comes with the original wheels and could use a set of tires. The interior is very clean, we did put in a new head liner, carpet, door panel and fixed the passengers seat, there is a small scratch in the drivers seat bottom and it needs a stereo and side exterior mirror nob (drivers door).. The odo reads 52,000 so I just assume it is 152,000. It is a California car and title, two owner car. Due to California emissions they put a Salvage on the title it is not due to any damage. Most states will certify and change that. I think it could use someones finishing touches but I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car anywhere, any distance it is a nice running clean Mercury.
