Vehicle Detail

1994 Olds Bravada AWD 4X4 2 Owner Vehicle Loaded and in Solid Condition, some surface rust, but NO HOLES! 120,000 Original Miles, Oil Changed on Regular Intervals with FULL Synthetic OIL We purchased this Bravada from the original owner and our best friend 6 years ago and it has been used as a winter vehicle driven about 5,000 each winter ever since. The overall body condition is great considering the year, The Tan Leather Interior is in Super Shape, just needs a little cleaning! The following mechanical work has been done within the last 15,000 miles: Rebuilt Transmission and AWD unit - 15,000 miles ago New Tires - 10,000 miles ago New Gas Tank, Fuel Pump and Fuel Lines - 7,000 miles ago New Front Brakes & Rotors - 5,000 miles ago New Die Hard Battery - 3,000 miles ago New Muffler - 1,000 miles ago This truck runs great and starts everytime. The AWD SmartTrak System is amazing while supplying constant 4 Wheel Drive while not having to push buttons to engage. The Bravada has a factory towing package which comes with a factory engine oil cooler. We just put the truck on the road for the winter and we took it to the local garage to get the oil changed and they noticed one of the oil lines running to the external oil filter housing was leaking. At this point we checked the oil and found it was down about 1 quart. We had them fill it and brought the truck home. While investigating the line at home we determined the oil line has rusted through and it needs to be replaced. There are 3 solutions for this issue: Replace the oil lines running from the filter housing to the engine with new parts from GM. Cut out the bad portion of the line and replace with fresh copper line and compression fittings. Bypass the external cooler and install a regular filter housing directly on the engine block. The easiest solution would be # 3. Please see picture of external filter housing. We have decided at this time not to repair it, trade our summer car in and get a new truck. So, if you have mechanical abilities, you can get a great deal on a good running AWD Bravada that has lots of new parts. I would not recommend driving it for any distance until the line is fixed, but it is startable for verification of engine/transmission.
