I purchased the vehicle in 1997 in Colorado with approximately 68,000 miles on the odometer. It has always been garaged. Soft top and hard top are both in excellant condition. Windshield is in good condition and still has the original Daimler-Benz factory sticker. Dashboard has NO cracks. There are a few small cracks in the wood veneer by the gearshift. Upholstery is original with no cracks or tears. Factory jump seat. Sidepanels are in good condition. Coco floor mats with original mats underneath (still in original plastic). Original carpet in trunk is in good condition. Body is in good condition with a few minor dings and scratches. Paint is in good condition and still shines. On the top corners of the rear fenders, either side of the trunk, there is a small area that was professionally touched-up before I purchased the car. Chrome is clear and does not have any rust or corrosion. Rubber trim is in good condition. Previous owner changed the 450SL on the trunk lid to 560SL as well as added a 560SL trunk brake light. Engine and transmission run smooth. It does have a small leak due to lack of use like most Mercedes of this vintage. Michelin tires have less than 15,000 miles on them. New A/C compressor and conversion to new freon. New alternator, water pump, front brakes, and plugs.
