Vehicle Detail

This is a very rare 1968 fastback mustang (X code, one of only 189 according to the marti report). I have owned this car 3 years now and have loved driving it in the summer time. I am the 3rd owner and it has always been a southern car (meaning no rust), the first owner was the lady who ordered the car new from Peoples Motor Company INC in woodruff SC and drove the car only 3500 miles till she traded it in on a 1970 mach 1 428 cj mustang at the same dealer. The salesman at the dealership took the car in as a $1500 trade alowance on the mach 1, after the deal was done the salesman purchased this car for his son to finish school. When his son finsihed school in 1975 he took ownership and kept the car till i purchased it in 2007. The car was originally dark highland green and he had it painted raven black in 1984 and it has never been painted since (still looking good). You will hardly never find frame rails, torque boxes, floor pans, quarter panels and the other sheetmetal on this car in this condition (excellent). All the interior is original (nothing replaced and still looks good). The car was ordered with the 390 sprint package and that included a chrome engine dress-up and wrap around shock towers like the 428 cj cars, also has the 9" rear end and big sway bar. Its been a prooven fact that most of these X code mustangs had dealer installed 427 engines, this was the car that dragracers wanted. Its very rare to find one with the original drivetrain like this car. The car has a few up-grades over the years. in 1969 the dealership added a factory aluminium intake w/ a 735 holley and a shelby cobra aircleaner. Later in 1984 a new black paint job, Then in 2007 a set of 16 inch mags were added. All else is original to the car. This car still runs and drives very strong and has won many trophies in local car shows over the years. if you need aditional pictures email me at cowboysmustangs@yahoo.com or call me at 828-208-1674 and i will send them out asap. This car has a very reasonable reserve and i will be selling more very desirable cars on ebay in the next few weeks like a 1965 pony package mustang coupe (low miles w/ orig dark moss green paint), a 1966 pony mustang convertible (low miles w/ orig springtime yellow paint). a 1967 mustang fastback (1 owner car) candy red. all these cars will have a very reasonable reserve, so keep me on your watch list. Thanks and good luck with the auction *****On Nov-09-10 at 15:44:14 PST, seller added the following information: I will give the winner the option of wheels they want.
