This is a VERY RARE opportunity to own an all original classic car that has been cared for by the same owner since new. As an original black plate car, this charming VW has spent it's entire life in sunny California since purchased new in October of 1962. The now 90+ year old husband and wife owners purchased two of these cars brand new. This one was the wife's car, and other than a one-time family cross-country trip, it has been rarely driven and now has only 59k original miles. It has been very well-maintained and has a stack of service records listing the maintenance and required repairs that were done to it over the years. It was very important to the owner to keep the car original, and the only major upgrades that were done to it were a new paint job and reupholstery in the mid-1980s which were done to factory colors and specs (original receipts included). The cars runs and drives great and shows very nicely as a beloved well-kept family car. Everything works nicely except for the radio which does not turn on. The body is very straight and the paint has a nice glossy tone considering the age of the car. The pan is in very nice original condition with no major rusting. The battery tray has been replaced, and there is a new battery and nearly new tires. Other than some tears in the original carpet near the doors, the interior is in excellent condition with nice uholstery, shiny dash, clean headliner, and crack-fee steering wheel. Overall, this is a very solid car that is nice enough to turn heads any where it goes while flaunting it's originality that allows it to be driven daily.
