General: This bike is in great condition. It has 4425 original miles. I am the original owner. It has been garage kept and dealer maintained at the BMW dealer in Hurst, Texas. As can be seen in the pictures, it is due for a new rear tire, but can be ridden as is. The front tire is is great shape. The saddlebags are genuine BMW, specifically produced for these bikes. The saddlebags are keyed to use the same key as the ignition. The bike starts, rides, and looks beautiful; no dents, dings,or scratches. All the low miles were put on during long interstate hauls across the country. This is a true sport touring machine. The ABS works perfectly. I intentionally purchased it as a low option model, meaning the suspension is manually adjustable via the hand-knob and there are no heated accesories (I prefer to use heated gloves as opposed to heated grips). The low option package makes the bike even more reliable for traveling, in my opinion. The bike is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. Shipping: I currently have the bike in Albuquerque, NM with me, but I frequently travel back home to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. I may be willing to transport the bike to a serious buyer between the two cities on the I-40 or Hwy 287 corridor. I will not ship the bike. The buyer is responsible for pick-up. On Nov-06-10 at 14:08:46 PDT, seller added the following information: Some addtional details: -I am currently having an annual service performed on the motorcycle by the local BMW dealer. I haven't ridden it much in the past year, so I figured this couldn't hurt. -There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with this bike. I am only selling to help finance a personal business venture. Will I buy another BMW motorcycle again in the next few years?...you bet. -I will have the BMW dealer mount a brand new OEM rear tire for an additional $300 at the validated buyer's request. -The BMW dealer can perform a certified 40-point inspection for $100. This is the same inspection they perform on trade-ins they receive before offering them up for sale. I can assure you this isn't necessary with this bike, but if you want the piece-of-mind, I'll make it happen. -There is a 3 year, 36,000 mile factory warranty still in effect. -The miles will increase slightly over the next week or so. I am riding the bike to the dealer for the annual service. There may be an additional 50-100 miles over what is pictured on the odometer and listed in the description.
