For Sale is 1997 ford escort. Over all the car is in great shape for the year no major damage to the car, a few small scratches and dings. I bought this car back in march from a friend for the intentions of driving it too save money on gas, it needed some repairs when i bought the car. The car had a bad transmission when i got it. Since has been replaced with one from a salvage yard. The trans has been put in the car but needs diagnosed. The salvage yard had cut the throttle control valve(kick down cable). The car is not shifting correctly so i done some research on the internet and you can google this problem and the articles come up. They are saying that if that cable is replaced for any reason the transmission needs adjusted correctly and should be done by a professional. I dont know much about transmissions but everything I have read comes back to the adjustment of this cable.If you know some one that is a mechanic it sounds like an easy fix just a need some pressure tool to set the right pressure. The car is also going to need a windshield for inspection other than that this car is in great shape the body is good, seats need a little cleaning but interior inst too bad. Motor still runs great tires are new..This car is for pick up only. this is a good cheap car for some one to pick up..there is a $200 deposit a time of sale.
