I am selling my 1966 Mustang Convertible. Its a 289 "C" code car with an automatic tranny red with a white top and black interior. Pertronix pointless ignition. I have about 20k into the car. The engine is rebuilt and detailed, as is the tranny and rear-end. During the 2yr work in progress restoration all the brakes and brake lines were replaced and front power disk brakes were added. The gas tank and lines were replaced, new exhaust, all the engine compartment stuff is new like the battery etc. The interior was redone including the new top. The car is a power top. New windshield, spare door glass. A bunch of new and or replated chrome is on the car. The car is the most solid mustang I have ever owned- you don't see many of them this way. The only area I saw that may be a future problem in coming years is the far rear pass framerail is buldging a little which means there could be rust coming from the inside out-see the picture. I think even that spot isn't an issue but I felt it needed to be mentioned. Last owner had the metal work professionally done- looks like quarters and at least an apron- a solid job. It hardly gets used- maybe 500 miles since the restoration and really needs to be tuned and driven regulary. The paint is nice but not a $10,000 perfect job. Has a couple clearcoat drips on the pass door as shown- I haven't done anything with yet (easy to finish off)- its very presentable. There is two spots on the trunk that if you can get it in the right light will show a shadow of some primer shrinkage- see picture of the trunk- its hard to see if unless you know what to look for.There are a couple bulbs burnt out, and the grounds need to be checked because the interior lights dim on braking and the horn doesnt work-nothing major just a few last bugs to work out here and there (like the side window glass needs alignment for perfect fit). In the end the car pretty much looks like the way a new car off the line and stock. I have a new set of emblems for the car but didn't have them put on because I liked the clean look (they are included with the car). Also included but not on the car is some weathersrip, bumper guards, top well liner and a few other smalls. I have a new top boot thats in the trunk as well for when you put the top down. Tag info- 76A, M, 26, 27E, DSO 22, Axle 6 Trans 6. Car has a no cut aftermarket mustang am/fm radio, console, steel styles rims (including the spare) etc. I have spend a lot of money on this car- here's your chance to put some finishing touches on the car and have something worth quite a bit. NO RESERVE I have had the car registered and on the road in CT for a couple years. I have the official transferrable registration in my name- CT doesn't issue title for cars this old. Your welcome to come inspect the car. This is not a perfect 35K turn key car but is a very nice example of an early convertible. Come see the car and how clean it is for yourself if your a serious buyer and it easily compares to others that are priced and sold in the mid 20's. Selling the car as is where is- you must arrange shipping. All funds must clear before the paperwork is signed over and car released. $200 deposit due within 48hrs and full payment within 7 days of auction close. I can give you a few weeks for pick-up as long as its paid for in full withing the seven days. I have the right to sell it outside ebay as its for sale locally.
