You are bidding on a 1982 Honda CM 400A cafe racer. I originally bought this bike wrecked, at a garage sale, when I was in college. I fixed it up, converted this cruiser style motorcycle into a cafe racer, and now I unfortunately can't afford to hold on to it anymore. The bike has sat in the parking lot of my apartment complex for the last 9 months because I haven't been able to afford to insure/renew the registration. That isn't to say that this bike is not a blast to ride, because it is!! I have regularly gone out and started the bike to let the engine run and take it for short spins around my apartment complex... The engine runs like a top and the hondamatic transmission works flawlessly!! This auto-clutch motorcycle is ideal for all beginning riders and is a lot of fun for experienced riders as well. If cafe racer isn't your style that's ok, the bike can easily be converted back to its stock configuration by switching out the custom cafe seat with an original stock seat (ORIGINAL STOCK SEAT IS INCLUDED WITH SALE). The custom cafe seat was made from a stock seat pan so both seats fit on the bike as is. Switching the handle bars is all that would need to be done to turn this bike back into a cruiser. As far as problems with the bike go... it could use some new paint (the paint on the side covers has faded and the paint on the tank is damaged), and a new battery (the battery is dead but they bike has a kick start and fires right up). Also, the front brake could probably stand to be taken apart and cleaned up as a slight issue seems to have arisen from sitting... the brake will creep on the rotor when the bike is left to sit for an extended period of time, but bleed the brake out and it releases immediately and you're ready to go. I have to sell this bike quickly as I am moving soon. So it's priced to sell, help me out/do yourself a favor and pick up this bike. I guarantee you'll have a great time riding it!
