Vehicle Detail
Beautiful 1968 Buick Electra 225 Classic Custom 2 door convertible. This car turns heads and is fun to drive ! Numbers matching, Only 7900 were made. Has a Big Block 430 engine in Excellent mechanical shape with 57k miles. Shifts so smooth you don't even feel it. Seriously... you can't feel feel a thing... Doesn't smoke. Many options: Automatic,Pwr. steering, AC, and Pwr seat. Can drive this car anywhere, back roads Hwy. She drives them all. Exterior is very good with no rust. This is a very solid car. Most people are surprised when they take a good look at it. Paint is good still shiny. The chrome could be better, that was next on my "to do list". Has 2 small chips, one on the hood, one on the side and some paint scratches on the front bumper. (see photo) Top is new and goes up and down with out a problem. Interior is very good. All grey leather in excellent shape. Dash buttons/ gauges show some wear around them from use. All gauges work. Power seat, Power windows, Cd player, 6 seat belts (original in the front, 3 new in the back ). Some would call this a "good 20 footer." Please take into account too that she was not detailed for the photos.. shoot I didn't even wash it, it was too hot. So this is the real thing out of the garage and ready to go to town. A good wash does take it to the next level. If your in the area and want a test drive feel free to let me know and you can crank her up and take it out! We purchased this classic as a "fun" car, had it checked out from bumper to bumper, and replaced: U & L ball joints (both sides) Stabilizer bushings (both sides) Upper A frame bushings (both sides) Outer tie rods (both sides) New tires and alignment New convertible top New pneumatic top pistons Oil pan gasket Battery Electric window motors for rear and drivers door Seat belts and a couple other things I can't remember... In the interest of full disclosure, it could use the following: cigarette lighter doesn't work, drivers door switch for right rear window (it operates fine from backseat switch and it's a new window motor.), AC works fine, but needs a recharge (compressor runs and blows cool, but not cold, and an interior tray for glove box is missing (door works fine). I have this car for sale locally so I can pull this listing at any time. I have it priced to sell. I included the NADA value for this car and it varies from day to day but this has been the value for almost a month now. Thanks for looking at "Ruby". She is a good solid car and if I could keep her... I would. This car will exceed most expectations. We welcome questions from any serious buyers, and can send more photos by request!! Please note it is buyers responsibility for shipping but I will accommodate as much as possible. But, I would feel comfortable taking this car cross county, no problem.
