1982 Mustang GLX convertible by Bivouac Sold new at McCafferty Ford in Langhorne, PA 88,328 original miles Fully loaded Rebuilt 5.0L motor with 1 mile on it Rebuilt T5 5spd transmission (replaced inferior SROD 4spd) New Clutch Power steering Power disk brakes Factory premium am/fm/cass with factory amp Power windows Power locks Air Conditioning Cruise Control Center console TRX rims and tires Tilt Wheel Center Console Locking glove box Factory sport suspension 1 of only 133 convertibles built by Bivouac in 1982 (most were 6cyl automatics) Off road since 1994 Newer paint (a 7.5 on a 1-10 scale) New Radiator New master cylinder and wheel cylinders Comes with documentation, which includes an original Bivouac sales brochure, PA retail installment contract showing the original owners purchase of the car (new not used)for a whopping $21,698.90 (remember this is 1982/1983 dollars) dated 5/17/83, copy of original NJ title, and the paperwork titling it in PA. Also included but not shown is the original owners manual for the car (it is in the glove box). Much, much more too numerous to remember at this time Items that I know it needs: Needs a new carpet set ($129.95 from Mustangs Unlimited) New top (uses a top for a 81/82 280/380SL Mercedes $329.00 here on Ebay) Decent tune up (mostly carb adjustment, timing as plugs, cap, rotor, wires have less than 1 mile on them) Why am I selling: I was restoring this car for my son to use in college, however, he had spinal surgery and this has caused him discomfort when driving a stick shift, so I’ve lost my motivation to finish it.
